You just get the REAL feeling of being at one with nature, it sends shivers through your body, a truly spiritual place. Its like nowhere else on earth. If you truly want to experience a safari how it should be without queues of cars and tourists then this is it.

I've been also at Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park, and love it. It is not assured that you can find lions, cheetahs or leopards -the animals that I mosly like- but the adventure spirit of these safaris, with so few people within the parks, makes that you feel the wilderness of the place.

Plenty of hippos and elephants in a close range 2 to 3 meters just from the road and the national park is great.

The country has plenty of water, great landscapes - especially the Okavango Delta. One can see the wildlife in its natural environment. There are possibilities to walk, to approach them by boat, by safari cars, or by helicopter.

along with a good and friendly team of 3 (guide, cook and help) traveled 10 days through the parks, slipping under a tent in the parks, surrounded by the animals. Were lucky to see most of them in their natural in habitat. Enjoyed every minute of it.

Considerng the Okavango Delta, Chobe NP, Moremi and Linyanti, you have amazing water settings for both birders as well as those loving larger animals. In addition there is the wonderful Kalahari, the Kgalagadi and Makgadikgadi to add a more desert/parched vibe for viewing wildlife. All of this and we haven't even discussed the Tuli Block's Mashatu.

We left a piece of our hearts in Botswana. The people are simply wonderful. The landscape is magical. Communication is very easy and the lodges we visited were outstanding. We love Botswana so much that we talk about dropping everything and moving there almost daily.

Botswana is a birding paradise, you can visit the bushmen of the kalahari desert, it is an incredibly beautiful country and the wildlife is gorgeous. If you love hippos, Botswana is the place to be.

The game reserves are not developed and there are no tar roads in the parks. The camps are unfenced and lions, baboons, hyenas, ratels and others visit at night. Ablutions are not five star. There are always places you can find to park and chill all on your own. Finding a spot on the river and watching the sun set over the Chobe river while enjoying a beverage cannot be beaten.
