Day 2

Arusha to Tarangire National Park

Arusha to Tarangire National Park

Early in the morning, after breakfast, we will depart for Tarangire National Park. The park is named after the Tarangire River, which flows through it and serves as the only water source for wildlife during the dry season. The landscape features dense vegetation, including elephant grass, acacia woodlands, and lush groundwater forests. Tarangire is famous for its large elephant herds, often seen gathering near the river, as well as giraffes, bushbucks, and hartebeests. Predators such as lions and leopards closely follow the herds. The park also hosts more breeding bird species than anywhere else in the world. After a picnic lunch, continue your afternoon game drive, enjoying the incredible wildlife and scenery, before heading to your lodge in Tarangire for dinner and a comfortable overnight stay.

Tarangire Ndovu Tented Lodge to Lake Manyara National Park

After breakfast, we will leave for Lake Manyara National Park, a beautiful place known for its many birds and tree-climbing lions. The park is bordered by the Rift Valley to the west and the shallow Lake Manyara to the east, which attracts thousands of flamingos during the rainy season. Its name comes from the Maasai word emanyara, a plant used to build protective homesteads (bomas). The park has a mix of savannah and forest, and you may see giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, buffaloes, elephants, and lions in the trees. After a full day of wildlife viewing and lunch, we will head to Ngare Lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Early in the morning, after breakfast, we will depart for Ngorongoro Crater. The first view of the crater is like stepping into a lost world. Here, you may see endangered black rhinos, lions, and many other animals. Formed two to three million years ago from a collapsed volcano, the crater is both a natural wonder and a rich wildlife reserve. The drive down is exciting, and on the crater floor you will find wildebeest, zebras, gazelles, and over 500 bird species. After a packed lunch, we will continue to Serengeti National Park. Dinner and overnight stay will be at Tukaone Hembe Camp.

Early in the morning, after breakfast, you will set out for a game drive in Serengeti National Park, searching for big cats and experiencing the park’s incredible wildlife. Serengeti is world-famous for its natural beauty and its remarkable concentration of plains animals. The park is also renowned for the legendary great wildebeest migration, when over a million wildebeest and around 200,000 zebras move across the plains in search of fresh grazing. This migration follows ancient patterns, crossing rivers and rugged terrain with remarkable determination. The Serengeti truly offers an unforgettable wildlife experience. In the late afternoon, we will return to your accommodation for dinner and an overnight stay.

The Serengeti’s wide-open landscapes and abundant wildlife make this an unforgettable experience. After a full day of game viewing, we will return to Safari Haven for dinner and an overnight stay.

Spend a relaxing day in Nungwi, enjoying the sun, white sandy beaches, and turquoise waters at Z Hotel. This is the perfect opportunity to unwind and soak in the peaceful atmosphere of this tropical paradise.

Nungwi, on the northern coast of Zanzibar, is famous for its glowing white coral sand. Despite its lively atmosphere, it still feels private and calm. The wide beach is ideal for swimming and snorkelling in clear, reef-filled waters. Unlike many other beaches in Zanzibar, Nungwi is not affected by large tidal changes, allowing for water activities all day.

There are many activities to enjoy, including walking tours, diving, parasailing, and sunset cruises. Even simply watching traditional dhow boats drift along the horizon at sunset is enough to fall in love with this beautiful beach.
