Nairobi to Masai Mara

At 7 am you will be picked up from your Nairobi Hotel/airport and commence the drive to Mara via the Great Rift Valley escarpment where you will have a breathtaking view of the Rift Valley. We will arrive in time at our camp for lunch. We will check in, and in the afternoon (4:00 pm), depart for a game drive in the Mara Reserve. Return back to the lodge for a sumptuous buffet dinner ending with good time for resting at the lodge.

Masai Mara Reserve is the most popular tourism destination in Kenya. Located in the Great Rift Valley in primarily open grassland. Wildlife is most concentrated on the reserve’s western escarpment. Its regarded as the jewel of Kenya’s wildlife viewing areas. The annual wildebeest’s migration alone involves over 1.5 million animals arriving in July and departing in November. Hardly can a visitor miss to spot the big five. The phenomenal Wildebeest migration is a spectacular event only seen in Maasai Mara as they cross the Mara River.

Full Day Game Drive & Mara River

Optional: Sunrise Hot Air Balloon Safari, followed by a champagne breakfast on the Mara Plains for approx. USD450. Head toward the Mara River after breakfast in hope of seeing the Wildebeest Crossing(Jul-Oct). Afterward, spend the full day exploring Masai Mara in search of the Big Five. You will have picnic lunches in the Reserve as you scale the Mara beauty. Return to the camp before dusk for accommodation.

Optional: In the evening, visit the local Maasai village for a Maasai cultural tour at USD30. Learn about the Maasai community and interact with the local Maasai people. A overnight at the Maasai village can be organized upon request.

Full Day Mara Game Drive (Round 2)

Another day spent exploring the mara plains; this is another chance to witness the magnificent wildebeest migration(Jul-Oct).

Morning Game Drive & Return to Nairobi

Wake up at 6:00 am to enjoy the last early morning game drive in Mara Reserve, return to the hotel for breakfast at 8:00 am. Thereafter commence drive back to Nairobi, arrival time will be around 2:30 pm. You will be dropped at your Nairobi Hotel or at the airport.
