Maasai Mara Tour

You will be picked up early in the morning at the airport on arrival or hotel at 8:30 am, and thereafter drive via Narok town to Masai Mara National Reserve, the land of the Maasai tribe. The proud young Masai warrior-nomads with their plaited hair, red cloaks, and spears, will spark your curiosity. The 700-square-mile Game Reserve is the Africa of your dreams, complete with wild animals grazing amid the superb rolling landscape of gentle hills and acacia woodlands. Lunch at the camp in Maasai Mara. Afternoon game drive starts at 4pm. Exit the park and arrive at the camp before dusk for accommodation.

Full Day Game Drive & Mara River

Optional: Balloon safari in the early morning, followed by a champagne breakfast on the Mara Plains. Take to the skies for the ultimate Maasai Mara wildlife adventure, soaring in a hot air balloon over herds of game to the inner reaches of the Mara. You'll ascend in the early morning, when winds are calmest. Your balloon can soar over the most inaccessible and undisturbed parts of the Mara, with only the intermittent whisper of the balloon's gas burners punctuating the silence of your majestic flight.

If you do not opt to go for the balloon, you will head towards the Mara River for a full day uninterrupted game drive. A picnic lunch box will be given by the camp for lunch on the Mara Plains. Return to the camp before dusk.

Return to Nairobi

Wake up at 6:00 am, eat breakfast, then game drive as we return to Nairobi. Arrival to Nairobi around 3:00 pm. The driver will deliver the guest to the hotel/airport.

Optional Activity: Stop by Lake Naivasha for an 1 hour hippo boat ride. Lake Naivasha has over 400 bird species and is inhabited by many hippos; during the boat ride, you will be able to move to close distances to the hippo and see their lazy way of life. The captain of the boat will also serve as your tour guide. Cost is USD 20 per person.
