Dar es Salaam City to Mikumi National Park
At around 7 am you will have a meet-and-greet session in Dar es Salaam, then drive for about six hours and with packed lunch to Mikumi National Park. Animals commonly seen in the area include the elephant, giraffe, zebra, antelope, wildebeest, eland, crocodile, hippo, and baboon. If you are lucky, you may also see the lion and leopard. Another attraction in the park is the hippo pools, where you can watch hippos wallowing and snorting at close range.
Over 300 species of birds are seen in the park as well, including the saddle-billed stork, hamerkop, malachite kingfisher, lilac-breasted roller, yellow-throated longclaw, bateleur, and others. Enjoy a late-afternoon game drive with sunset viewing, and watch the animals drinking water at the hippo pool. Dinner and overnight stay will be at Camp Bastian. Breakfast, lunch and Dinner.

Travel to Ruaha National Park
Soon after breakfast, you will drive for about six hours with packed lunch to Ruaha National Park. Inter the park and proceed with the game drive en route till sunset. Late evening drive to Ruaha cottage for dinner and overnight stay. Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.

First round at Ruaha National Park
Lunch will be packed so you can enjoy a full day of game driving in Ruaha National Park. This less-visited park lies deep in the south with its striking, rugged landscapes and abundant wildlife. The Great Ruaha River flows through the eastern side of the park and provides life to hippos, crocodiles, and over 400 species of birds such as the racket-tailed roller, pale-billed hornbill, Shelley’s sunbird, and hoopoe. The park also provides a home to one of Tanzania’s largest elephant populations, and is famous for lions, giraffes, Grant’s gazelles, leopards, cheetahs, zebras, buffaloes, and for rare or endangered animals such as the sable antelope, greater kudu, and roan antelope. Your dinner and overnight stay will again be at the Ruaha cottage.

Second round at Ruaha National Park
After breakfast you go for another full day game drive in Ruaha national park with packed lunch enjoy your lunch on one of picnic site which your guide will choose.
Dinner and overnight inside the park at Ruaha Tanapa Cottages on full board. Ruaha National Park covers an area of 20,000 sq. km and a vast and magnificent wilderness area and is Tanzania’s largest park. Ruaha National Park is the home of largest population of Elephants, it also hosts Larger herds of Buffaloes, pride of Lions, Leopards, Giraffes, Kudus, Grant’s gazelles, Wild dogs, Ostriches, Roan and Sable antelopes and more than 400 different bird species. The great Ruaha River flows through the eastern side of the park and is home of hippos, crocodiles and water birds. Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.

Ruaha National Park to Mikumi National Park
After a relax breakfast, drive for about six hours with your packed lunch back to Mikumi National Park, if the time will allow enjoy a late-evening game drive then have dinner and an overnight stay at Camp Bastian Mikumi. Breakfast, lunch and Dinner.

Mikumi National Park- Dar es salaam
After breakfast proceed with a morning game drive or return to Dar Es Salaam depending on planned arrival time in Dar Es Salaam. Arrival in the late afternoon/early evening including transfer back to the hotel in Dar es Salaam or catch the last ferry for Zanzibar that leave daily at 4 pm. Breakfast and lunch included.
