Day 1

Arusha to Tarangire National Park

Arusha to Tarangire National Park

After breakfast at the lodge you leave early to Tarangire National park. This is the third largest park in Tanzania and it is characterized by the amazingly large herds of elephants that can be encountered in this park. The Baobab trees are one of the other highlights of Tarangire and the Tarangire River that flows all year round is the life blood of the park. Many animals predators and the preys alike gather around the river where you can do excellent game viewing. Overnight is at jambo campsite for dinner.

Day 2

Tarangire National Park to Serengeti National Park

After breakfast depart 07:30 for Serengeti passing through Olduvai George, the site of the Leakey family discovery of fossils 50 km long and in some places 90 metres deep. It drains the slopes of the nearby mountains plus of human and animal ancestors dating back to almost two million years. Olduvai Gorge is a canyon carved by water through the southern part of the Serengeti Plain. The george is about the Serengeti Plain. Its chief claim to fame is the rich treasure-trove of human and animal fossils that it has yielded. Meals and overnight at seronera campsite.

Early morning breakfast proceed directly to base of the Ngorongoro crater for a full day game drive to see the eighth wonder of the world. Game viewing on the bottom of the crater. Later proceeds back to Manyara in the evenings for Overnight at Panorama Campsite.
