Day 1

On arrival to Entebbe International airport, you will transfer to a local flight. Please note that this flight leaves around midday. So if your arriving international flight arrives late, then you may have to sleep in Entebbe town for one night and take the regional flight the following day. In this case you would inform us so that we consider this and make the necessary arrangements
From Entebbe Airport, you will take your domestic flight to Kidepo National park, then be transferred to Adere Safari Lodge.

In the evening, if you are not tired, you can embark on an evening game drive along the Nagosokopire circuit or do a cultural tour of the Karamojong. Appreciating beautiful sunset behind the long Nyangea ranges which gives you perfect opportunity for taking pictures. Please note that this would be affected by the choice of the lodge. Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Embark on an early morning game drive through the park to encounter Zebras, Giraffes, and many more that roam the short grassland plains of the Narus valley. The Scenic view is splendid with Mt. Lotukei in the far background. After the game drive, you will head out of the park to explore an authentic culture of the Karamojong.

The karamojong tours are some of the most authentic cultural tours. Characterized by their colorful dressing, body piercings, wearing of beads and their traditional clothing, the unique lifestyle and culture sets these nomadic pastoral communities apart from other tribes in Uganda.

This afternoon we shall also visit a typical Karamojong homestead and have a look at their communal housing patterns popularly known as the Manyatas. Dinner and overnight stay will be Adere Safari Lodge.

Day 3

Transfer to Gulu and Slave Trade Fort Patiko

Transfer to Gulu and Slave Trade Fort Patiko

After breakfast, you check out your hotel and travel by road to Gulu district. Our focus today is Fort Patiko. You will traverse the Karamoja land and enter into Acholi land where you find Fort Patiko also known as Fort Baker. This Fort which was a Slave trade facility dates way back in the 19th Century. You will get to know more about the Fort what it was used for.

Lunch will be enroute in a town where lunch time finds us nearby. After visiting the Fort, we shall travel to Gulu town and check in at Churchill Courts Hotel, where we shall also rest, have dinner and sleep. In case you are not tired, a drive or walk around Gulu town, will be done in the evening before retiring to sleep.

Today, we shall head towards Uganda’s oldest and largest National Park, Murchison falls National Park. After breakfast we shall check out and transfer by road to Murchison Falls National Park. On arrival at Murchison, we shall check-in at the Lodge at Pakuba Safari Lodge.

In the afternoon, you take the boat cruise along the Nile to the base of the magnificent Murchison Falls the world’s strongest fall with spectacular rainbow view where the fall forces its way through a narrow gorge with thunderous water falls. It is amazing the concentration of wildlife in the bank of the river Nile, including hippos, crocodiles, and a variety of bird’s species, like African eagles, pelicans, kingfishers, Egyptian geese and much more. Return to the lodge and retire for the day. Dinner and overnight at the Lodge. Meal plan is full board.

Game drive in Murchison Falls National Park and return Flight to Entebbe

After breakfast, have a morning game drive in Uganda’s largest and oldest park, this offers beautiful sceneries of savannah grasslands, acacia in the north and tropical forests in the south, the Nile delta on L. Albert, Northern bank. As you view and take memorable photographs of the animals in the wildness, you may expect to find elephants, lions, buffalos, giraffes, and waterbucks, bushbucks, spotted hyenas among others

After the game drive, you will return to the Lodge for Lunch and also check out then be transferred to Pakuba Airstrip to catch you return flight to Entebbe.

From Entebbe you may catch your return flight or decide to stay and take return flight the following day. In case you prefer to stay overnight, you will let us know and factor it in.

Please note that you could also opt to return by road with a stop-over for Rhino tracking at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary or you could opt for Chimpanzee tracking in Budongo Forest, then Rhino Tracking before returning to Kampala.
