Day 1

Your guide will meet you at Kasane International airport or Zimbabwe border or Zambian border, after exchanging formalities you will head for the campsite in the heart of the Chobe National Park. The drive to the campsite will be a the start of your adventure as you will see lots of game - you are guaranteed to see large herds of elephants and cape buffalo. We will get to campsite late afternoon to evening where we will familiarize ourself with our campsite. Dinner will be served around a roaring fire at the campsite. Please feel free to be taken to the stores if you want to stock on special supplies - items of a special nature including medication. All our tours use spacious and comfortable tented accommodation(3x7m) including beds & bed linen, with a private ensuite bathroom, shower and a sink with a private veranda. This is a non participation tour as our staff take care of all camp chores.

Our first day inside the Chobe National Park will start with an early morning game drive. You will get to see an abundance of wildlife in one of the biggest area of game concentration in Africa. The Chobe National Park is known for its large herds of Elephants - the largest in the world. We will be back at camp for lunch around noon or so. In the afternoon after refreshments & relaxation, we will head down to the Chobe River for a afternoon boat cruise till sundown. Watch out for the sunset - breathtaking and one of the best in the world.

Day 3

Today we leave our private campsite inside the Chobe National park and head for Savuti. This will be our home for the next 2 days. Savuti is home to lions, leopards and cheetahs. This will be a full day's travel and means we will have our lunch as a picnic en-route. The whole drive to Savuti will be one big game viewing experience. We will reach our campsite late afternoon in time to relax and shower before dinner. After dinner we can sit around a campfire and trade stories.

Day 4

This morning we take an extensive game drive into the Savuti, we get to explore it using different routes. We hope to see the migrating herds of elephants or buffaloes which are a sight to behold. Our aim is to be back at camp by noon for lunch but depending on what we see it might be later. After lunch we will relax a bit, time to catch a nap or shower then late afternoon we will go for a shorter game drive till sunset. Dinner will be served at the camp and we will listen to animal noises around our campfire.

Day 5

We will embark on one more game drive in Savuti then start our journey for the Khwai Concession Area which used to be a hunting area but now is actively used as a conservation area, it borders the famous Moremi Game Reserve and its at the edge of the Okavango Delta. The area has large areas of Mopane forest, Roan and Sable Antelope which are rare in most parts of the country. Large herds of migrating elephants enjoy the mopane woodlands. You might see a good number of predators including lions, hyenas and African wild dogs. Lunch will be a picnic on our way. The drive to Khwai will be one big game drive. We will then reach our campsite late afternoon to evening. Dinner will be served at the campsite around a fire.

Day 6

We will start our day by going for a game drive to explore Khwai. This will be a very relaxed game drive, takes about 4-5 hours. During the summer months you might be able to see migratory birds. You might see Verreaux's Eagle Owl, Senegal Coucals and Long Toed Lapwings. You can visit this area any time of the year. We will then break for lunch around 12:00hrs or so and after the afternoon snack then go for a mokoro (canoe) cruise on the Khwai River. The Khwai river is a phenomenon that attracts large animals as they seek to quench their thirst from the harsh Botswana sun. The river is an overflow of the Okavango Delta with the water levels depending on the flooding in the Delta. Dinner will be served at the campsite around a roaring fire.

After an early breakfast we will explore Khwai one more time and then head to Xakanaka - our next campsite inside the Moremi Game Reserve. Xakanaka is a narrow strip of land surrounded by lagoons. Campers are sometimes woken up by elephants and hippo grunts. Lunch will be a picnic that will be served on our way. We will arrive in Xakanaka late afternoon and you will get a chance to explore the area and familiarize yourself with our new surroundings. Dinner will be served around a roaring fire at our campsite.

We will go for a very long early morning game drive that will be about 4 - 5 hours. Moremi Game Reserve covers nearly 20% of the Okavango Delta and it’s the only place in Botswana where you can see the big 5 - now that Rhinos have been re-introduced in the area. The area is dry woodlands and savannah next to picturesque floodplains and lagoons. Moremi is home to large herds of buffalo, zebra and wildebeest. It has a fairly number of predators being lions, cheetahs, leopards and hyenas. We will then break back to camp for lunch and go on a late afternoon boat cruise. Dinner will be served around a campfire back at our site.

We will have a early morning breakfast, do a game drive as we say goodbye to the Moremi Game Reserve and we head out to Maun. In Maun we will do scenic flights(optional for extra cost) which fly over the Okavango Delta. Lunch will be served at one of the restaurants in Maun & dinner will be an option between the hotel(Sedia where we will lodge for the night) and/or another restaurant.
