Upon arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, in Nairobi, you will be met by a Classic Journeys Africa Customer Care Representative who will drive you to your hotel. Our representative will brief you on the adventures that await you and introduce you to the driver/Guide who will be with you throughout the safari. You will then check-in at the Eka Hotel for the night.

Nairobi - Amboseli National Park
After breakfast you will check-out and drive to Amboseli National Park; famous for its large elephant population roaming the vast grassy plains, the ”Big Five”, and the majestic views of Mt. Kilimanjaro the highest mountain in Africa. This park also has a wide variety of flora and fauna for you to see. You will arrive at the Amboseli Serena Safari Lodge lodge in time for lunch. After lunch you will take off for an exciting game drive in the park before returning for dinner and your overnight stay in the evening.

Amboseli National Park
After breakfast you will experience a full day in the Amboseli National Park with two game drives. You drive through this vast lake bed, often dry but also swampy in some areas. The park is home to cheetah, buffalo, giraffe, gazelle and herds of elephant; all set against the amazing back drop of majestic Mount Kilimanjaro showing all its glory. If you wish, for a nominal fee, you can also visit a Maasai Village to experience this nomadic tribe’s way of life and see their colorful culture. Later in the evening you will return to the lodge for dinner and your overnight stay.

Ngorongoro Conservation Area
After breakfast you will drive to Ngorongoro Conservation Area, traveling through the Namanga Border for Customs and Immigration formalities before stopping for a hot delicious lunch in Arusha. After lunch you will continue your journey to the famous Ngorongoro Conservation Area which features rolling plains, lakes, craters, mountains and dormant volcanoes. Later in the afternoon you will arrive at the Ngorongoro Serena Safari Lodge where you can have some rest and relaxation or an optional cultural village visit before dinner. Later in the evening you will turn in for the night.

Ngorongoro Crater
After breakfast you will travel to the crater and descend into the “8th Wonder of the World”, a unique biosphere that has remained virtually unchanged since the dawn of time. Enclosed within its towering walls are grasslands, swamps, forests, saltpans, a freshwater lake and a glorious variety of birdlife. You will see the “Big Five” which includes lion, elephant, rhino, leopard and buffalo, as well as a large cast of plains game and one of Africa’s densest populations of predators. You will enjoy a picnic lunch on the crater floor before ascending back up the crater to the lodge where you can freshen-up and relax before dinner. Later in the evening you will turn in for the night.

Serengeti National Park
After breakfast you will check-out of the lodge and begin your drive to neighboring Serengeti National Park. You will stop at Ol Duvai Gorge for lunch. This site is known as the “Cradle of Mankind” and is one of the of the most important prehistoric sites in the world where famous paleontologists Louis and Mary Leakey offered a glimpse into life two million years ago. After this stop you will continue your travels, arriving at Serengeti Serena Safari Lodge in time to relax and enjoy a classic safari supper before you turn in for the night.

Serengeti National Park
After breakfast you will enjoy a full day game drive in the vast and sensational Serengeti, which covers 14,763 kilometers of endless rolling savannah. You will have a true safari style lunch “in the bush”. The Serengeti is considered “the Greatest Wildlife Show on Earth”. Here is where you can witness the annual migration of over one million wildebeest and zebra as well as see other wildlife including predators like lion, cheetah as well as grazers like zebra, giraffe and other plains game. Later in the evening you will return to the lodge for dinner and your overnight stay.

Maasai Mara National Reserve
After breakfast you will check-out, take part in a short briefing by your driver/guide, and then drive to the world-famous Maasai Mara National Reserve. This reserve is the backdrop for one of “the greatest wildlife spectacles on earth”, the annual migration of over one million wildebeest and zebra. You will stop along the way at the Isebania border for customs and immigration formalities and enjoy a picnic lunch along the journey. You will arrive at the Mara in time for a late afternoon game drive in Kenya's most popular reserve. After sunset you will check-in at the Mara Serena Safari Lodge in time for campfire cocktails and dinner before turning in for the night.

Maasai Mara National Reserve
After breakfast your day will be spent on safari in Africa's richest wildlife viewing arena. This reserve is historically teeming with wildlife! The Mara hosts Kenya's largest lion prides and elephant herds. Other predators include leopard, cheetah and spotted hyena. While on the Mara River you will see fat pods of hippo and numerous Nile crocodiles. Other highlights include giraffe topi, gazelle, zebra, buffalo and over 550 species of birds. Have the opportunity to fly over the Mara in a hot air balloon at an extra cost. The balloon package includes a champagne breakfast in the wild! If you can spare the money, viewing abundant game afloat a hot air balloon is an unforgettable experience. You can also chose to visit a Maasai village and learn the Masai culture at an extra cost. Later in the evening you will return to the lodge for dinner and your overnight stay.

Nairobi
After breakfast you will heck-out and bid farewell to the Maasai Mara as you journey back to Nairobi. You will drive back down the Great Rift Valley, passing the dormant volcano, Mount Longonot, and Lakes Elementeita and Naivasha along the way. Keep an eye out for herds of giraffe and gazelle as you head up the escarpment. You will arrive in Kenya's bustling capital City of Nairobi in the early afternoon. You will have time to do some last minute shopping. You can buy lunch and then be dropped off at your desired spot. This is where your safari will end.
