Day 2

After breakfast you will check-out of the lodge and travel to Kibale Forest National Park, going through the beautiful countryside of Fort Portal with traditional homesteads, crop gardens and huge tea plantations as well as trading center. You will have lunch en-route and arrive in the late afternoon at Kibale Forest Camp (Safari tent) where you will check-in, have dinner and enjoy your overnight stay.

Day 3

After breakfast you will report at the Kanyanchu Tourist Centre for a briefing on the rules of chimpanzee habituation. Kibale Forest National Park has the greatest variety and highest concentration of primates in East Africa. The most famous of its 13 species is the chimpanzee, a very delightful ape. The tracking will provide you with the opportunity to see a variety of other primates and animals as well as birds and a variety of butterflies. Later in the evening you will return to camp for dinner and your overnight stay.

Day 4

Kibale Forest National Park - Queen Elizabeth National Park

Kibale Forest National Park - Queen Elizabeth National Park

After breakfast you will check-out and travel to Queen Elizabeth National Park; arriving at the Bush Lodge in time for lunch. After lunch you will take off on a 2-hour boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel. This is a 42km channel that joins Lake Edward and Lake George. This trip passes through possibly the highest concentration of hippo and offers an excellent opportunity for photography, bird watching and game viewing. The prolific bird life is colorful with well over 550 resident species. Later in the evening you will return for dinner and your overnight stay at Bush Lodge.

Day 5

After breakfast you will drive to the Ishasha sector of the Queen Elizabeth National Park; famous for the tree-climbing lion lounging in the tree branches while keeping a close eye on herds of Uganda kob, their favorite prey. This area is also home to many buffalo, elephant as well as the rare shoebill. You will spend the day on a game drive in this part of the park and return late in the afternoon to your lodge for dinner and your overnight stay.

Day 7

Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

The height of this Uganda Tour Safari is in Bwindi, where you will meet our cousins the Mountain Gorillas. You will rise for an early morning breakfast and then travel to the Park headquarters to join other trackers for a briefing about the gorilla trekking rules. You will trek through thick creepers and undergrowth with your guides to find the gorillas, which can take you 2-8 hours depending on the location of the gorillas as they range freely in the impenetrable forest. You will have one hour to stay with these intelligent, majestic, and gentle giants that share over 90% of their genetic material with humans. You will later return to your Lodge for an evening of relaxation, a delicious dinner and your overnight stay.

Day 8

After breakfast you will check-out and make your way to the Batwa cultural trail experience visiting their villages, learning about their daily routine and activities and be amazed by the way they skillfully cultivate the hill sides and care for their animals that are a prime source of pride. From there you will continue on to Lake Bunyonyi where you will check-in at the Birdnest Bunyonyi, have lunch and then go for a canoeing ride on the lake. This lake is said to be one of the most beautiful places in western Uganda. It is the second deepest lake in Africa and also one of the few places in the country where it is considered safe to swim. The landscape around the lake is made up of terraced hills protruding from the water’s edge. You will choose to swim on the lake or hike to the viewpoint on the hills to see the beautiful scenery of this part of the country. Later in the evening you will return to your lodge for dinner and your overnight stay.

After breakfast you will check-out and set off for Kampala with a stopover at the Equator where you will have an opportunity to stand in two hemispheres at the same time and take some memorable photos. The entire stretch of this journey will take 6-7 hours, enjoy lunch along the way. You will arrive back in Kampala in the evening where you will have dinner and your overnight stay at Forest Cottages.

Day 10

Kampala - Jinja

After an early morning breakfast you will check-out and head to Jinja. Here you will visit the source of the Nile and enjoy some of the adventurous activities offered which whose include white water rafting, jet boating, horse riding, mountain biking, quad biking or bungee jumping. Along the journey you will pass-by the spectacular Ssezibwa Waterfalls which are believed to have been born by humans many hundred years ago. The falls are one of the most spiritual and cultural centers where many natives flock for blessings of wealth and fortune. Another stopover will be at Mabira Forest; a photographer’s delight. This rainforest area covers about 300 square kilometres in Uganda located in Buikwe District between Lugazi and Jinja. When you arrive in Jinja, you will check-in at Source of the Smile where you will have dinner and settle in for the night.
