After breakfast, your guide will pick you up from the lodge to start the journey towards Tarangire National Park. The mix of habitat in Tarangire is incredibly diverse and not found anywhere else along the northern safari circuit. We will explore until the late afternoon before settling down in the newly opened Kitchuguu camp for an overnight stay. Next morning, enjoy the breakfast and get ready for a beautiful day driving across grassy swamps and grassy plains. With the exception of the critically endangered black rhinoceros, Tarangire is home to all of Tanzania’s most iconic animals.

Set out for the journey from Serengeti to Ngorongoro Crater Conservation Area, the world’s largest unflooded caldera (collapsed cone of a volcano). Ngorongoro Crater’s abundance of food and fresh water supports more than 30,000 large mammals. We’ll drive to the bottom of the crater for thrilling wildlife experience in search of the rare Black Rhino. The crater floor provides also a great chance to spot Africa’s “Big Five” (lion, elephant, buffalo, rhino and leopard). Explore until the sunset before settling down in the lodge, located on the crater rim.
