Discover South Luangwa

You begin your journey by flying from Lusaka Airport to Mfuwe Airstrip followed by a transfer to the Lodge. You will spend the next two nights at Luangwa River Camp. Enjoy game drives, but the South Luangwa is home of the walking safari and it remains the best way to experience the sights and sounds of the bush. The unspoiled South Luangwa National Park is one of natural jewels in Zambia’s crown, and home to one of the most varied collections of wildlife on the planet. They are three endemic sub-species of the Luangwa, the Thornicroft’s giraffe, the Cookson’s wildebeest and the Crawshay’s zebra. South Luangwa is also known as the ‘Valley of the Leopard’ due to its high leopard density. Other popular animals include lion, wild dog and eland or Cape buffalo.

Lower Zambezi

You depart The South Luangwa by air to the Lower Zambezi National Park which is one of Zambia's newest undeveloped wildlife areas. Here you can enjoy activities which include day and night game drives, walking safaris, canoeing, boating, fishing and birding. Anabezi sits on the banks of the Zambezi River in a secluded corner in the eastern area of Lower Zambezi National Park and surrounded by the iconic Winter-thorn forest, renowned by safari experts, professional photographers, and documentary film crews. Lower Zambezi is home to large populations of elephants and buffalo, along with lions, leopards, hyenas, African painted dogs, hippos, over 500 species of birds and a variety of game endemic to the area.

Day 5-6

The Mighty Victoria Falls

The Mighty Victoria Falls

You will fly from the Lower Zambezi to Livingstone airport and then transferred to the Sussi & Chuma Lodge which is located 12km north of the Victoria Falls in the Mosi-Oa-Tunya National Park. You will have two days to enjoy all the activities on offer by the lodge such as: Game drives, Tour of the Victoria Falls on the Zambian side, sundowner cruise, canoe on the Zambezi, walking safaris, local village tour and fishing which are all included in your stay. A Zambezi River cruise is a great way to spend a few hours before drifting back to the lodge, a warm shower and delicious dinner. Sipping on a cocktail while watching the sunset over the majestic Zambezi River is truly a once in a lifetime experience.
