Today you start a road trip where you will be picked by our driver from the Lodge and head to Jinja in Eastern Uganda, where River Nile, the World’s longest river derives its joy, fame and origin. You will drive to Mabira forest, Uganda’s biggest tropical forest, where you will do Nature walk and if you like do Zip-lining in the tropical trees of Mabira forest. Watch out for the Colobus monkeys and several birds. After the Nature Walk, you will have Lunch at the Eco lodge and then rest.
In the evening you will go to the Source of the Nile, and see where the World’s longest River starts its long journey to the Mediterranean Sea. After which you will then proceed to your hotel in Jinja.

After breakfast, prepare for the most thrilling activities on the Nile. Day 4

After breakfast, you will be driven further into Eastern Uganda, where you will drive via Busoga land, and via Mbale, the Land of the Bagisu, famous for their traditional cultural circumcision dance, locally known as the Imbalu. These people inhabit the hilly and mountainous Elgon areas. Lunch will be in Mbale Town. From Mbale you will proceed to Sipi Falls, where you expect to have an amazing view of water falling from up the rocks. You will also visit some caves like the Mise cave where a few tales will be told about how the Sabiny people used to live. You will also see River Sipi. Dinner and overnight shall be at Sipi River Lodge (Midrange) or Mbale Resort Hotel (Budget-Luxury).

Today you head to Karamoja, the land of the nomadic pastoral communities living in the North East part of the country.
In the afternoon, you will embark on a cultural tour of the Karamojong people.

Characterized by their colorful dressing, body piercings, wearing of beads and their traditional clothing, the unique lifestyle and culture sets these nomadic pastoral communities apart from other tribes in Uganda.
This afternoon we shall visit a typical Karamojong homestead and have a look at their communal housing patterns popularly known as the ‘Manyatas’. We shall dig a little into their lifestyle, get to know the reasons behind their housing pattern, watch and enjoy them do their traditional dance. This will enable us to see up close their customs, dances and traditional clothes. Later in the evening, we shall return to either Kidepo Savannah Lodge (Budget/Midrange) or Nga' Moru Wilderness Camp (Budget-Midrange) or Apoka Lodge (Luxury) for dinner and overnight.

Day 6

Game drive in the Kidepo Valley National Park

This morning after breakfast, you will check out of the Hotel and drive to Kidepo Valley National Park, enter the park and embark on a game drive through the park.

The variety of animal species in this Kidepo park which you may encounter is equally abundant including many which are found nowhere else in Uganda like Ostriches and Cheetah. Carnivore species unique to Kidepo and Karamoja region include the bat-eared fox, striped Hyena, Aardwolf, Caracal, Cheetah and Hunting dog.

After the game drive, you will get out of the Park and travel by road to Gulu district. Our focus now is on Fort Patiko. This Fort which was a Slave trade facility dates way back in the 19th Century.

Lunch will be got in a town where lunch time finds us nearby. After visiting the Fort, we shall travel to Gulu town and check in to the Hotel at either Acholi Inn (Budget-Midrange) or Churchill Courts Hotel (Budget- Midrange).

Today, we shall head towards Uganda’s oldest and largest National Park, Murchison falls National Park. After breakfast we shall check out and transfer by road to Murchison Falls National Park. On arrival at Murchison, we shall check-in at the Lodge, rest and have Lunch.

In the afternoon, you take the boat cruise along the Nile to the base of the magnificent Murchison Falls the world’s strongest fall with spectacular rainbow view where the Nile forces its way through a narrow gorge with thunderous water falls. It has amazing wildlife in the bank of the river Nile, including hippos, crocodiles, and a variety of bird’s species, like African eagles, pelicans, kingfishers, Egyptian geese and much more. Return to the lodge and retire for the day.

After breakfast, have a morning game drive in Uganda’s largest and oldest park, this offers beautiful sceneries of savannah grasslands, acacia in the north and tropical forests in the south, the Nile delta on L. Albert, Northern bank. As you view and take memorable photographs of the animals in the wildness, you may expect to find elephants, lions, buffalos, giraffes, and waterbucks, bushbucks, spotted hyenas among others.

After the game drive, you will return to the Lodge for Lunch and also check out then get out of the Park and proceed by Road to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, where you will spend the Night. Dinner and overnight shall be at Amuka Lodge.

Today, you will do Rhino Tracking at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary and have Lunch at Amuka Lodge and later Kampala.
This nature walk will be done at Ziwa Rhino sanctuary - Nakasongola, the breeding project which saw the rebirth of the endangered white Rhinoceros and it is the only place where you can track white Rhinos moreover on foot in Uganda with close view walking freely in the reserve. The sanctuary is also a home to many woodland birds like Hoopoes, Ruppell’s long tailed starlings to mention but a few and proceed to Kampala for dinner and rest at either Red Chili Hide Away (Budget) or Cassia Lodge in Kampala (Midrange) or Kampala Serena Hotel (Luxury).

Have an early morning breakfast and head to Kibale National park for chimpanzee tracking. The park harbors the greatest variety of primates especially Baboons and chimpanzees and also protects a large block of rain forest birds. In the morning, take a game drive in the Northern sectors and towards Lake George and Kasenyi village. You might see Lions, Elephants, Buffaloes, Spotted Hyenas, Waterbucks, Ugandan Kobs, and Warthogs. Queen Elizabeth lies in the unique landscapes and views of crater lakes and the Albertine Rift Valley, which make this area special and unforgettable. After the game drive you will return to the Lodge for Lunch.

In the afternoon, take an exciting safari by boat from Mweya peninsula along Kazinga channel, one of the most popular sites in Uganda for its concentration of wildlife, bird’s life and opportunities for good photographs. Moreover, you will see plenty of Hippos, Crocodiles, Buffaloes and Elephants while drinking from the channel and you will have higher chances of witnessing predator-prey reactions.

After breakfast, leave the Northern sector of Queen Elizabeth and head southwards. Pass through the Ishasha sector, the southern region of Queen Elizabeth NP. Take a game drive in search for the “tree climbing lions” which are seen during the hot hours of the day, as they lie resting on top of Figs trees. See also herds of Buffaloes, Elephants, Topi antelopes and more. Lunch en route. Reach Bwindi Impenetrable National Park by evening for dinner and overnight.

In the morning you enter the rain tropical forest of Bwindi for the Gorilla safari. The activity starts at early in the morning with briefing from the Wildlife Ranger Guides and you will follow the ranger guides in a group of maximum 8 people as you search for the habituated family of Mountain Gorillas, which was allocated accordingly.

Bwindi forest in Uganda which is more than half the world population. You have one hour for observing the primates and their behaviors, while taking photographs. Due to the nature of this activity, we shall ensure that you take packed lunch and water with you in the bag and for this you might need the support of available porters.
