Gahinga (3,474 m), and Mt. Sabinyo (3,645 m). The park is situated about 10 km south of Kisoro on the borders to the Republic of Rwanda and the Democratic Republic of the Congo. The three parks together form the 434 square kilometers of the Virunga Conservation Area (VCA). Mgahinga Gorilla National Park to Lake Mburo National Park

Time to say goodbye to the Bwindi forest, the gorillas and the jungle. Although Lake Mburo National Park is the smallest in Uganda, it is the only park that features both eland and impala antelopes and shares the Burchell's zebra with the Kidepo Valley National Park. The park is part acacia woodland and open savannah and is home to a number of larger wildlife species as well, such as buffalos, hippos, and crocodiles. Also, the recent translocation of Rothschild giraffes from Murchison Falls National Park added a species that is well-liked all over Africa.

Lake Mburo is the most family-friendly park in Uganda, primarily due to the fact that it does not feature any big cats. It is, therefore, the only park which allows biking, walking, horseback or mountain bike safaris at any time. Additionally, the park also features more than 300 bird species, including the rare shoebill which can be found around most major lakes.
