Day 1

You will depart Dar es Salaam and drive to the Selous Game Reserve. Upon arrival, you will take a boat trip that will allow you to enjoy the beautiful Rufiji River with its many hippo, crocodile, and birdlife. The sunset views are a stunning sight from the boat. There is nothing quite like the serenity of the river while the sun dips below the horizon. This large wide river has several lakes branching off to explore, gaining a unique view of the wildlife. Boat safaris are also the best excursion for bird enthusiasts. The reserve has a variety of bird species and the river is the place where the birds congregate in large numbers. You might also want to try your luck searching for the ferocious tiger fish and weighty catfish that live in the river. Later in the day, you will take part in a game drive with a picnic lunch packed for you to enjoy along the way. Later in the evening, you will check in at the Camp for dinner and your overnight stay.

Day 2

Selous Game Reserve

Early morning bushwalking. The walks take about 2-3 hours long; walks leave camp at 6:00AM-6:30 AM after having a cup of tea and some homemade biscuits or doughnuts.
The sights and sounds (and smells!) of a walking safari will long live in the memory. The thrill of creeping up to animals and then to "shoot" the animal not with a gun but with your camera, is a great experience.
After walking breakfast in the Camp and you will take off for a day-long game drive in the reserve. Your safari guide will point out rare species of animals like the wild dog, antelope, black rhinoceros, buffalo, hartebeest, and eland. You will also see crocodile, and hippopotamus along the banks of the Rufiji River. Picnic lunches and drinks will be served in the wilderness during your drive. The Selous Game Reserve is a majestic place where you will see wildlife and landscapes; offering one of the most diverse ranges of activities available in any natural wildlife park in the world.

Day 3

Selous Game Reserve – Mikumi National Park

Morning breakfast at the camp and start driving to Mikumi National Park. Mikumi NP is one of Tanzania's larger parks and has excellent bird life as well, as being good for viewing predators, there is a rich variety bird species as well as large numbers of giraffes, buffaloes and elephants and close to the water holes also lions, leopards and hippos On the way short game drive in Selous. The way takes about 7 hrs in beautiful landscapes and also watching elephants, giraffes walking around.

Day 4

Mikumi National Park

Mikumi National Park

After breakfast you will spend your entire day in Mikumi National Park, one of Tanzania’s largest parks with a packed lunch to enjoy along the drive. Today you will see a rich variety bird species as well as large numbers of giraffe, buffalo and elephant. Close to the water holes you will see lion, leopard and hippo. The park is also inhabited with zebra, wild dog, python, hartebeest, wildebeest, impala, warthog, eland and antelope. Several observation towers provide you with an overview of the park in its entirety. Mikumi National Park is mostly Miombo woodland with gently rolling hills. After your day long game drive you will head back to camp for dinner and your overnight stay.

Day 5

Udzungwa Mountains National Park

Udzungwa Mountains National Park

After an early breakfast, you drive to the Udzungwa Mountains National Park. Your first activity will be a walking tour enjoying the park's stunning natural beauty while you explore the Sanje Waterfall and view the endemic Red Colobus Monkey. This visit to the falls is an experience you will never forget! Stand at the base of the waterfall or jump through one of the smaller falls into a plunge pool for a swim. At the top of the falls, you can watch the spectacular sunrise over the Kilombero Valley while sitting on the rocks in the middle of the pools. Monkeys are everywhere during the hike and endemic African Violets grow on the rocks in the spray zone behind the second waterfall. The top of the fall, above sea level, is just starting to enter the elfin sub-montane forest festooned with mosses and lichens. This is one of the most beautiful places to visit in Tanzania.
