Ngorongoro Crater - Arusha

After an early breakfast, you will check-out and begin your descent into the Ngorongoro crater. Supported by a year round water supply and fodder, the Ngorongoro conservation Area hosts a vast variety of animals, which include wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, eland, warthog, hippo, and giant African elephant. Another big draw card to this picturesque national park is it’s dense population of predators, including lion, hyena, jackal, cheetah and the ever-elusive leopard, which sometimes require a trained eye to spot. You will visit Lake Magadi, a large but shallow alkaline lake in the southwestern corner of the crater. A large number of flamingo, hippo and a variety of water birds can usually be seen here. Late in the afternoon, you will ascend back to the crater rim and travel back to Arusha.
