Day 1

Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be welcomed by the company guide and then embark on travelling to Queen Elizabeth National Park taking Kampala-Fort portal highway. The park is located in the South Western part of Uganda and is close to mountain Rwenzori and rests in the floor of the Albertine Rift.

Along the way, you will enjoy Uganda’s country side which is abundantly blessed with eye catching sceneries and other interesting features. You will have your lunch from Fort Portal town and then after you will proceed with your journey to Queen Elizabeth National park where upon arrival you will relax at your lodge in preparation for next day's activities.

Day 2

Game drive and a boat ride along the Kazinga Channel

Game drive and a boat ride along the Kazinga Channel

This day focuses on enabling you explore the wilderness of Queen Elizabeth National Park. It is intended to enable you get a feel of what Queen Elizabeth National Park contains. The game drive will take you through the park’s diverse ecosystem which includes sprawling savanna, shady, humid forests, sparkling lakes and fertile wetlands. Being an ideal habitat for the big five, ten primate species and over 600 species of birds, you will get opportunity to spot a variety of animals and birds.

In the afternoon, you will enjoy a boat cruise on the spectacular Kazinga Channel which connects Lakes Edward and George. The boat ride along the banks will give you an opportunity to see yawning hippos in water and large herds of Uganda kobs drinking water with their black and white spiraled horns making it suitable for fabulous photos. You will also be in position to see Nile crocodiles sunbathe on the banks while elephants disappear beneath the water poking their trunks up like snorkels.

Day 3

Chimp tracking in Kalinzu Forest and transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

This day starts with opportunity to encounter with Man’s closest cousins-chimpanzees in the forest of Kalinzu. The activity starts with briefing where instructions on how to track chimpanzees are passed on.

Kalinzu Forest is home to over 220 chimpanzees, over 414 species of trees, other primates like Blue monkeys, Vervet monkeys, Black and white colobus monkeys and a variety of bird species as well as different animals.
When you locate the chimps, you will discover how close to humans these primates are. You will see how able they are to utilise tools like rocks to crash nuts, empty pods for hollowing out water plus sticks for capturing termites from their holes.

A successful track of the chimpanzees will give you beautiful lasting memories about Uganda.

After this expedition, you will have lunch and then transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable forest for yet another memorable highlight of this safari.

Day 4

Gorilla trekking

Gorilla trekking

Early morning, you will go for gorilla trekking. This amazing activity takes you through the densely forested steep hills until you finally meet these tranquil gorillas within the green plant cover. It is such a wonderful yet memorable encounter.

While entering the forest, you will first walk on a handmade trail but then you will veer off to follow tracks left by forest elephants. The canopy will envelop you completely with rare and exotic flora found on every side. This is a challenging trek since it involves hiking through steep ascents and tangled trails.

Gorilla trekking groups are assigned on fitness levels, so you can request a shorter or longer hike depending on your preference.

Once gorillas are identified, you will be allowed a maximum time of one hour within their vicinity and then after walk out of the dense forest. Your time with the gorillas will certainly create a long lasting memory about your visit to Uganda.

Day 5

Travel to Kampala

Travel to Kampala

You will start this fifth day of the safari with breakfast and then after check out of the lodge and embark on the journey to Kampala.
Along the way, you will enjoy Uganda’s country side which is abundantly blessed with eye catching sceneries such as the hills, vast banana plantations and herds of the indigenous Ankole cow grazing on the road sides. Surely, your journey will be filled with moments of memorable exposure to nature.

When you reach Mbarara town, you will have lunch at Igongo cultural center. While here, you will enjoy a short cultural expedition about the Banyankole tribe of western Uganda. This expedition will certainly enrich you with an insight about the traditional and current cultural set up about the people of Ankole.

You will stop and take in a visit to the Equator that runs through Uganda. It’s marvelous to have pictures taken underneath the Equator Sign and enjoy a few experiments normally done showing how water swirls in opposite directions of the hemispheres.

On this day that concludes this safari, you will be taken for a city tour in Kampala. You will visit a few places like the craft centers, the major market centers for example St Balikudembe Market and walk through some shopping malls. This city tour will apprise you with an insight about the economic activities carried out by the city dwellers and how Kampala is transforming to the international standards in terms of development.

After this city tour experience, you will be transferred to Entebbe International Airport for your departure flight.
