Upon your arrival at Entebbe international airport you will be welcomed by our company representative and safari guide who will transfer you to the hotel reserved for you in Kampala. The 5 days game viewing combined with chimpanzee tracking safari briefings will be done right before dinner at the hotel where you will be spending the night. The next early morning we begin this adventurous safari you have all been preparing for.

Day 2

After breakfast, drive to Murchison Falls NP via Masindi passing traditional farms and villages. Reach Murchison Falls National Park during time to have lunch, relax after a long drive and later go for an evening hiking to the top of the falls return to the lodge through the honeymoon truck.

Day 3

Enjoy breakfast and later head out for morning game drive on the northern bank of the River Nile. Your guide will help you to spot elephant, lion, cape buffalo, Roth child’s giraffe, hartebeest, waterbuck, oribi, bushbuck, bohor reed buck, hyena and leopards, after you have encountered all the games of the park retire for lunch break and later go for a boat safari upstream the calm Victoria Nile to the base of the falls stopping just few of meters from the ‘Devil’s Cauldron’, marvel at the toothsome hippos, home of crocodiles and over the 17km stretch you may see elephant, waterbuck and Uganda Kob. This is also the zone of many birds, species like goliath heron, Egyptian goose, pelican bee-eater, kingfisher, hornbill, cormorant and the rare shoebill stork and by chance you might meet the lake shore hunters.

After breakfast check out, drive to Kibale Forest National Park, Estimated transit time is 7 hours with frequent stops to stretch legs. The drive takes you through little towns and villages as you observe the African rhythm of life. On arrival, check in to your reserved accommodation to relax and later go for an evening nature walk to Bigodi sanctuary nature walk. Kibale forest national park is proudly known to have the greatest variety and highest concentration of primates in East Africa. The most famous of its 13 species is the Chimpanzee, our closest relative. Kibale 1450 Chimpanzee represent Uganda’s largest population of this endangered primate. Kibale is also a home to the rare I’Hoest’s monkey. Other primates include the black and white Colobus, Blue monkey, Grey cheeked mangabey, Red tailed monkey, Olive baboon to mention but a few.

In the morning you will have breakfast then transfer to Kibale Forest National Park head quarters for briefing before setting off for a forest walk in search for chimpanzees. The forest walk will be guided to provide information not only on chimpanzees and primates but also on small organisms making it interesting. The walk will reward you with other primates like Grey cheeked Mangabeys, Colobus monkeys, Red-tailed monkeys, lhoestes, and butterflies. After tracking the chimps go the lodge for refreshments lunch and start the drive back to Entebbe international airport to catch up your flight.
