Travel from Entebbe to Murchison Falls with a stop Ziwa Rhino sanctuary for Rhino tracking

Your local Shoebill guide will pick you at a Hotel in Kampala or Entebbe or at the airport if its an early morning arrival. Then we drive from Kampala to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary. Take about an hour tracking the Rhinos, have lunch and later proceed to Murchison Falls National Park.
Murchison covers 3,840-sq km and has recorded 76 mammal species and over 450 bird species. It lies at 619m at the delta and 1,292 at Rabongo Hill. The mean temperature is 0C- high and 21C- low.
Murchison is the biggest National Parks in Uganda, its scenery is breath taking with captivating falls. It boosts of several animal species as well as birds. Important to note is that majestic shoebill stork that you will encounter along the Nile.
It is from this bird that our company derives its name aka Shoebill Safaris.

Morning Game drive in the northern sector of the park

After a rather early morning cup of Coffee/Tea We will go for a “Sunrise game drive” through Albert or Queens tracks North of the River Nile. Look out for unique African Savannah animals like giraffe, antelope, lion, elephant and of course the famous Uganda kob.

Return to the Lodge for breakfast. Afternoon, we’ll cruise to the bottom of the falls and catch up with pods of Hippos, crocodiles and a vast number of water birds more especially the shoebill stork butterflies and wildlife that keep coming to the lake for a drink to cool off the afternoon heat.
These falls are one of Africa’s wonders and a must see for everyone. Its no wonder that the Park was changed from Kabalega to Murchison Falls National Park

Evening drive to the top of the falls for a breathtaking sight. Have an opportunity to experience this massive rush of water at close range as it splashes and forces its way through and above the rocks taking the pathway to the base of the falls and back.

Breakfast and head to Budongo Forest for Chimp tracking and and Travel back to Entebbe

After breakfast we will go through Budongo forest for Chimpanzee tracking. Lunch and after continue our journey back to Entebbe or your your preferred drop off Hotel.
