1-Day Mabamba Swamp Tour for Searching the Shoebill

• You'll be collected from the airport.

Your guide will pick you up in the morning at the hotel in Entebbe or Kampala.
Drive to Mabamba wetland where most of the birding is done by canoeing. Look out for the rare Shoebill stork and other species that are resident in this swamp. Once it’s located, we will spend some time taking some pictures and later make a return journey back.
The adventure on a canoe leads you to papyrus reeds which opens up into the big grassy swamps. Most of the time this is where the shoebill can be spotted.
Site guides are very good at spotting the shoebills and are normally equipped with their location as well as other species.

The swampy experiences cool breeze from Lake Victoria. It is punctuated with beautiful sceneries of vegetation on its shores.
Depending on your time, it could either be half of a full day’s adventure birding the swamp and the environs.
