On arrival at Entebbe International Airport in Uganda and after finalizing the formalities, you shall be welcomed by your guide, who will then drive you to the Hotel where you shall stay. You can decide to relax at the lodge or move around the town depending on your arrival time.

Day 2

Drive to Murchison Falls Nationalpark and stop at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary

Drive to Murchison Falls Nationalpark and stop at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary

After breakfast, you proceed to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary. Here you shall have a walking Safari to the Southern White Rhinos that
have been re-introduced in Uganda. Later you proceed to Murchison Falls National Park. Murchison covers 3,840-sqkm and has recorded 76 mammal species and over 450 bird species. It lies 619m at the delta and 1,292 at Rabongo Hill.

After an early breakfast you will have a boat ride to the Nile delta (optional), keep a look out for a variety of bird species especially the Shoebill. In the afternoon, go for a game drive. Drive in the open African savanna in search for Lions, Leopard,
Hyena, Buffalo, Elephant, Jackson Hartebeest. Oribi, Waterbucks, Uganda Kobs, and enjoy spotting various Bird species such as the Secretary Bird, Black Chested Snake Eagle, Tawny and Marshal Eagles Carmine and Swallow Tailed Bee-Eaters and many more.

After a rather early breakfast, morning games drive. Afternoon, we’ll have a boat cruise to the bottom of the Falls. The Falls are rare and magnificent, they are one of Africa’s wonders and a must see for everyone. We of course cannot fail to mention that it’s from these falls that Murchison derives its name. Catch up with pods of Hippos, crocodiles and a vast number of water birds. There are high chances of seeing the Shoebill stock from which our company derives its name. Enjoy these spectacular falls with a hike to the top of the Falls where the Nile squeezes through a 7-meter gap and at the bottom bask Huge Nile Crocodiles.

Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park

Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park

We depart Murchison Falls and head towards Kibale forest. The drive is almost eight hours but will provide you with some stunning views as you pass small African villages and banana plantations as well tea plantations. Kibale Forest is reputable of having the greatest variety and highest concentration of primates in East Africa.

Chimp Trekking and Swamp Tour

After breakfast, chimp tracking and meet the rather real cousins of humans’ beings. There is a rich bird life in this forest. If you are a keen birder you will record a reasonably high number of different bird species. Notable are various
monkeys that keep tossing from one tree to another as you walk along. Lunch at the lodge.

At afternoon we have a Swamp Tour. The Bigodi swamps are home to about 137 species of birds, and they are rich in lush vegetation such as wild palms, figs and the dominant Polita Papyrus. The Bigodi Wetland Reserve is managed by the Kibale Association for rural development and environmental protection.

We transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park. It is a beautiful route via Kasese, with the Rwenzori Mountains on your right side and the green valley on the left. A game drive on our way to the accommodation in the middle of the national park gives us the chance to spot waterbucks, warthogs and other wildlife.

After a early cup of tea or coffee morning game drive to the vast park for any chances of the early hunting cats, herds of elephants, antelopes, buffalos and many more. Return to the camp for a full breakfast, free time, after lunch go for the launch cruise on the famous Kazinga channel where you get to the schools of Hippos, buffalos and a variety of beautiful water bird species like jacanas, fish eagles and pelicans along the channel. Depart for Bwindi National park in the Morning. On your way, you will have a chance to have a game drive in Ishasha Wilderness where the Tree Climbing Lions are found, then continue to the home of the Mountain Gorillas (Bwindi
Impenetrable Forest).

Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is best known for superb gorilla tracking, but it also provides refuge to elephants, chimpanzees, monkeys and various small antelopes, as well as 23 bird species restricted to the Albertine. You
may have an optional village walk or visit a nearby school.

Another highlight of your safari: a meeting with the gentle giants of Bwindi forest! Especially hikers will love the tracking in the beautiful ecosystem of the park. It is difficult to foresee how many hours you will hike, it may take two to eight hours. Expect to walk a long distance in steep and muddy conditions, sometimes with rain overhead, before you encounter any gorillas. But it will definitely be worthwhile as you observe them closely while they eat, play and rest. A unique and unforgettable experience! For conservation purposes, time spent with the gorillas is limited to one hour. The ranger guide always briefs you on how to behave with these giant apes.

Breakfast will be at leisure on this day. Then later we depart to Lake Bunyonyi, the deepest lake in Uganda. This area is often called “Little Switzerland of Uganda” and boosts one of the most beautiful parts of the country. You will relax as you different calls from nature and also watch the beautiful sunset.

After an early cup of tea, you will start your journey back to Entebbe. Enjoy the green along the route plus the famous Ankole long horned cattle. Stopover at the equator for snap shots of a lifetime. Have a chance to be in the South and Northern hemispheres at the same time. Buy a few souvenirs and have a picnic lunch.
