Day 1

In the morning, you will be picked up from your hotel or the airport by our driver-guide. Leave the Nairobi hustle and bustle behind as you head southeast along the main Nairobi-Mombasa road, passing towns like Makindu with its two ornate mosques. Finally, you'll arrive at Mtito Andei where you'll turn off into Tsavo West National Park. This park, together with neighbouring Tsavo East, forms the largest of Kenya's parks. Spot game as you go. At lunchtime, you'll reach Kilaguni Serena Lodge, the first wildlife lodge built in a Kenyan national park and home to a myriad of birdlife and an actively visited waterhole. Later, go on an afternoon game drive in Tsavo West.
Tsavo is Kenya's largest national park (20,000 sq km) and is actually split into 2 parks, Tsavo East and Tsavo West. The scenery is spectacular, and so is the wildlife.
Dinner and overnight will be at Kilaguni Lodge (FB).

Day 2

Have breakfast at the lodge and then head to Amboseli National Park. An early morning departure takes you west across the spectacular Shetani lava flow. It is a reminder of the molten outpouring that spilled down the scenic slopes of the nearby Chyulu Hills over the last 3 centuries. Before you, see the shimmering plains that stretch away to Amboseli National Park. Have lunch at Amboseli Serena Lodge and later go on an afternoon game drive in the park.
A game drive through Amboseli takes you across the vast lakebed - often dry, but still very swampy in areas. Amboseli is best known for its great herds of elephants. You'll often find many of them standing knee-deep in the water, spraying themselves to keep cool. There are also a lot of other game here, including cheetah, buffalo, giraffe, many types of gazelle and other plains game. It's all set against the amazing backdrop of the majestic Mount Kilimanjaro showing all its glory.

Day 3

Breakfast at the lodge is followed by commencing the drive to your next destination.
Perhaps catch a clear, early morning view of the majestic Mount Kilimanjaro as you leave Amboseli with an en-route game drive as you head to Nairobi. You will be dropped off at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your homeward flight.
