Windhoek - Etosha National Park
Collecting you from your Hotel or Guest House, we depart Windhoek travelling north through the towns of Okahandja, Otjiwarongo and Tsumeb to the Etosha National Park. Stopping for a light lunch at Otjiwarongo on own account, we arrive at our private campsite situated just outside the park and ready for our private game reserve sunset Game Drive. Part of the fun of camping is that we all take part in setting up our tents and assisting our guide with washing up after our meals. Dinner is served cooked over open fire under the African Night Sky.

Etosha National Park
An early light breakfast is enjoyed before taking part in our full day open vehicle game drive in the Etosha National Park. Entering the Anderson Gate of the Etosha National Park, we make our way passed various watering holes in search of African Wildlife. The name Etosha means “The Great White Place” where the park gets its name from. The National Park is 22 270 km² and was proclaimed as a National Park in 1907. As we make our way through the Eastern side of the Etosha park, we pass by the Etosha Pans which makes up 23% of the total size of the National Park.
Lunch is on own account at either the Halali Rest Camp or the Namutoni Rest Camp depending on sightings of the day. Continuing in and around the Eastern side of the Etosha National Park, we slowly make our way back to our private camp. Dinner is again enjoyed around the camp fire telling stories of the day and listening to the African Bush.

Etosha National Park - Windhoek
Departing our Camp this morning after breakfast, we head back to Windhoek but not before stopping at the Otjokoto Lake and the Okahandja Woodcarvers. The Otjikoto lake is a natural sinkhole with some very interesting history when in 1915, the German forces dumped their Cannons and Ammunition in the lake rather than to lose this to the South African Union Soldiers. The Cannons have since been recovered and can be viewed in the Tsumeb Museum. Arriving in Windhoek late afternoon, we deliver you back to your Hotel or Guest House where we bid farewell.
