Day 1

After breakfast, our driver will pick you at your hotel in Dar City and transfer to Dar International airport where you will board a flight to Selous Game Reserve. On arrival our driver will meet you and continue on game drive. This is the largest game reserve in Africa and a true unspoiled safari experience. It is among the largest game reserve in Africa. The area harbours one of the most significant concentrations of elephants. Black rhinoceros, cheetah, giraffe, hippopotamus, crocodiles as well as amongst other species. The reserve also inhabits variety of habitats including Miombo Woodlands, open grasslands, Riverine forests and swamps. You will arrive at the Camp for Lunch. After lunch spend the afternoon on first safari activity A boat ride on a Rufiji River. You will return to your Camp on time for Dinner and overnight at Sable Mountain Lodge.

Day 2

After breakfast, it is time to explore the game reserve by car. The Selous has Africa’s largest elephant, buffalo, crocodile and hippo populations, as well as great numbers of lion, giraffe, wildebeest, zebra, bushbuck, eland, greater kudu, leopard and antelope. It is also the best place in Africa to see the very rare African wild dogs, you will have lunch at a picnic site. In late afternoon return to Sable Mountain Lodge for dinner and overnight.

Once again you will have another full day of game drive in the reserve. You can take a packed lunch with you to have a picnic lunch somewhere in the park. You have an option of doing game drive in the morning and relax at the lodge for the remainder of the day. Dinner and overnight at Sable Mountain Lodge.

Early in the morning it game drive while being transferred to the airstrip where you will board a flight to Ruaha National Park where on arrival you will embark yourself on a full day game drive. This is the largest National Park in the country, bigger even than the Serengeti. The park offers an astonishing concentration of wildlife and visually stunning landscapes. Memories of magnificent elephant encounters. Gatherings of over 150 elephant in dried river beds have been seen as family groups come together. In Ruaha there is a great chance to see all five of the great predators: lion, leopard, cheetah, hyena, wild dog. The Ruaha ecosystem contains more antelope species than any other park and countless plains game. Lunch will be taken at a picnic site, you will drive to Ruaha River Lodge in late afternoon for dinner and overnight.

Day 5

Early morning walking Safari though the park. Accompanied by rangers you will follow the animal tracks in the sand and explore the wilderness of Africa from a different perspective. The main feature of the park is the Great Ruaha River, which attracts loads of animals in the dry season. The dominant vegetation is brachystegia (miombo) woodland, and some areas are dotted with the impressive baobab tree. In addition to that it is an excellent park for birding enthusiasts as well, with numerous migrant and endemic species present. Other games seen on the park are buffalos, grant gazelles, roan, greater and lesser kudu, klipspringers, hartebeest, ostrich, oribi, bat-eared fox, hippos and crocodiles. You have the option to drive to the lodge for lunch. Then spend the afternoon at leisure at the lodge or embark on the afternoon game drive in the park. Dinner and overnight at Ruaha River Lodge.
