This classic Kenyan safari departs Nairobi at 7:30am for Aberdare National Park. You’ll arrive in time for lunch at Aberdare Country Club. Later you’ll make your way to one of the tree hotels (Treetops or the Ark Lodge) to watch animals at a floodlit waterhole. Dinner and your overnight stay will be at the lodge.

After breakfast you’ll make your way north to Samburu National Reserve. You’ll arrive at the Samburu Sopa Lodge (or similar) in time for lunch. In the afternoon you’ll go on a game drive until 6:00pm. Dinner and your overnight stay will be at the lodge.

Day 3

Today you may opt to go on morning and afternoon game drives or carry a packed lunch and go on a full-day game drive. You’ll be able to spot many animals here, including a variety of rare species, such as the Somali ostrich, oryx, reticulated giraffe, Grevy’s zebra, and gerenuk. Dinner and your overnight stay will be at the lodge.

Day 4

Samburu - Lake Nakuru

Samburu - Lake Nakuru

After breakfast you’ll depart for Lake Nakuru National Park, arriving in time for lunch at the Flamingo Hill tented camp. You’ll then embark on an afternoon game drive in search of animals such as leopards, rhinos, and lions (among others). Flamingos are also part of the ecosystem here, although their numbers have been reduced because of rising water levels. Dinner and your overnight stay will be at the lodge.

After breakfast you’ll drive to Masa Mara National Reserve via Narok town, arriving in time for lunch at the camp. You’ll eat lunch and then rest until 4:00pm, at which point you’ll embark on an evening game drive in search of the animals. Dinner and your overnight stay will be at the camp.

After breakfast you’ll enter this famous Kenyan game reserve with a packed lunch in hand for a full-day game drive. This will enable you to thoroughly explore the park and visit the famous Mara River, where the annual Great Migration of wildebeest takes place. This phenomenon attracts visitors from all over the world. The park is known for its great abundance of wildlife—it’s easy to catch big cats hunting here! Dinner and your overnight stay will be at the camp.
