Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park

Upon your arrival at Entebbe Airport, Hail Tours staff will be waiting for you. You will then be taken to have refreshments and then we'll drive directly to Kibale National Park in the Western part of Uganda. Along the way, you will find many baboons on the road waiting to be given some food. Pass by the tea plantations and admire the scenic beauty of it all. Continue through Fort Portal town until you reach Kibale National Park. We will reach late in the afternoon as nothing much can be done rather than resting with the noises of the tropical rain forest as you prepare for chimpanzee trekking the next day.

Chimpanzee Tracking and Bigodi Swamp Walk

Your guide will take you to the park headquarters for a briefing about the rules and regulations of chimpanzee trekking. After the briefing you will be allocated a chimpanzee family to trek and a park guide who is conversant about trails in the forest. Chimpanzee tracking activity takes about 30 minutes to 4 hours depending on where the chimpanzees slept the previous night. During trekking you will have views of wildlife species including butterflies, birds, plants, primates, mammals among others and once the chimpanzees are found you will be allowed an one hour with them which gives you an opportunity to observe their behaviors, habits, watch them feed, breastfeed, play, hunt, fight, rest, an experience never to forget.
Bigodi swamp walk, after lunch you will go for an exciting nature walk in Bigodi sanctuary where you will be able to view different primates like black and white colobus monkeys, red tailed monkeys, view different bird species, colorful butterflies among others.

Exit Kibale NP Back to Entebbe/Kampala

After breakfast, you will enjoy a leisurely drive back to Kampala arriving in the afternoon. You'll be dropped off at your hotel in Kampala or at Entebbe Airport for your onward journey back.
