Day 1

Arusha to Tarangire National Park

Arusha to Tarangire National Park

You will be picked up at Kilimanjaro International Airport or your hotel in Arusha in the morning by 0800 (you can also land in Nairobi and connect to Kilimanjaro or board a shared shuttle bus to Arusha).
Drive 2.5hr to Tarangire National Park. Arrive in the park for an extended game drive with picnic lunch. Evening transfer to Karatu. Dinner and overnight at Tanzanice Farm Lodge.

The ancient Baobab trees (the largest trees in Africa) dot the landscape dwarfing the animals that feed beneath them. Tarangire River that meanders through the park attracts an abundance of wildlife; elephants, lions, leopards, buffalos, zebras, giraffes, antelopes to a variety of colorful birds. The park is very famous for having the greatest elephant population in Tanzania. You will have the chance of quietly observing many families of elephants interacting.

Day 2

Serengeti National Park

Serengeti National Park

Today, a 3 hours journey takes you to the famous Serengeti National Park. The drive is spectacular as you drive up the Ngorongoro crater highlands. Continuing on, spreading out is the vast Serengeti inhabited by more than 2 million large animals. You will have a game drive as you head towards central Serengeti where you will arrive in the evening. Dinner and overnight at Tukaone Serengeti Camp.

After early breakfast, go out for a game drive with packed lunch. In the afternoon, leave Serengeti to drive 3 hours to Karatu near Ngorongoro. Dinner and overnight at Tanzanice Farm Lodge. Accommodation options: Rhino Lodge, Eileen's Trees Inn, Ngorongoro Serena Lodge, Ngorongoro Sopa Lodge, Ngorongoro Farm House, Tloma Lodge, Bougainvillea Lodge.

Day 4

Ngorongoro to Arusha

Ngorongoro to Arusha

After early breakfast, descend into the crater floor for an extended game drive with packed lunch. With walls 2,000 ft high and a crater floor that spreads for 102 sq. miles, the crater is a virtual Noah's Ark inhabited by almost every species of wildlife indigenous to East Africa including the rare black rhino. The crater has the greatest concentration of wild life in the planet. The large bull elephants that reside here have extremely large tusk due to the rich mineral content of the volcanic soil and its grasses.
In the late afternoon, depart to drive 4 hours to Arusha. Transfer to the airport.
