Drive from Nairobi to Amboseli National Park

Our team meets you on your arrival at Nairobi Jomo Kenyatta International Airport and after a short safari introduction and briefing, you will be transferred to Amboseli which is about a 4-hour drive via Emali and Kimana Town. Arrive in Amboseli for hot lunch then embark on an afternoon game drive in the park. Amboseli is also known as the land of elephants and the majestic Mount Kilimanjaro. You will spend the afternoon enjoying game drives till sunset with a beautiful view of Kilimanjaro as the sun sets. Amboseli is also very good for seeing many elephants at the same time. In the evening, you will be transferred back to the camp for dinner and your overnight stay.

Explore Amboseli National Park

On this day, you will have an early wakeup call then carry picnic lunch and have an early morning game in the park for a chance to see the animals and the mountain clearly when there is less cloud cover. The driver will drive you at a leisurely pace as you stop often to enable you to watch animals, take pictures and enjoy bird watching. Also, drive to the observation hill where you will see a scenic aerial view of the park as you take photos and watch the animals at the nearby swamp. In the evening, you will be transferred back to your camp for rest and overnight.

Fly to Masai Mara National Reserve

Have an early breakfast then check out of the hotel at 8:30 pm for a short transfer to the airstrip to board the morning flight to Masai Mara which departs at 9:15 am. You will reach Masai Mara at 10:30 am and meet the driver waiting for you ready for a mid-morning game drive en route to the camp for check in and hot lunch. If you travel between July to October, the wildebeest crossing is very active, therefore, there are many animals in Masai Mara. After lunch, you will enjoy an afternoon game drive in the park for a chance to spot the Big Five animals and bird species as well as many herbivores. As the sun sets in the evening, you are transferred back to the camp for dinner and rest.

Enjoy a full day of game viewing with a picnic lunch for a chance to explore the park. The river banks and the marsh regions are also the best to spot the cats. After lunch, continue with an afternoon game drive until sunset. Balloon safaris are also available on request and take place early in the morning before sunrise at a cost of $450 per person. After the game drives, you are transferred back to the camp for rest and dinner.

Explore Masai Mara National Reserve

Enjoy early breakfast followed by departure with a picnic lunch for a full day game drive. Explore the park as you track animals and photograph them. Visit the hippo pool for many hippo sightings and the Mara River for crocodile sightings. By this time of the year, there are many animals around the banks of the Mara River so you will have a good opportunity to catch the wildebeest crossing. You'll also enjoy a picnic lunch at one of the sites located inside the park. In the evening, you'll be transferred back to camp for rest and dinner.

Drive Back to Nairobi

Early breakfast then check out of the camp and enjoy a visit to the Maasai village where you will meet the local women who specialize in making handicrafts and curio souvenirs. If school is in session you can also visit a local school to inter mingle with the Masai children. After the Masai village tour you will depart from Masai Mara and drive back to Nairobi arriving in the afternoon. Upon arrival, you are transferred to your most preferred location in the city (hotel or Jomo Kenyatta International Airport).
