Tarangire National Park and night game drive
We pick you up at 7:30 AM from your hotel in Arusha and depart for Tarangire National Park with a picnic lunch for a full-day game drive. Tanzania’s third-largest national park is known for its majestic baobab trees that dot the landscape, dwarfing the animals that feed beneath them. The Tarangire River is the centerpiece of the park which is famous for some of the largest herds of elephants in Africa. You may see lion, leopard, cheetah, lesser kudu, buffalo, eland, giraffe and zebra. Late afternoon, you will head back to your lodge where a delicious dinner awaits you.
Optional activity: At an extra charge, a night game drive in Tarangire National Park offers a unique experience. As the sun sets, the nocturnal world comes alive with the sounds of the wilderness. Equipped with spotlights, visitors can witness the behavior of elusive nocturnal animals such as leopards, hyenas, and bush babies. The cool night adds a sense of mystery to the adventure, creating an unforgettable safari.
