Day 1

From Johannesburg to Kruger National Park

From Johannesburg to Kruger National Park

Leaving the city of Johannesburg behind us we make our way east through the coalfields of Mpumalanga. Our journey today follows in the footsteps of the old trade-routes to the Lowveld and the Kruger National Park.

Guests setup their own tent and assist with preparation of some meals. Other chores include carrying your own luggage and chair, as this is not a luxury tour.

This afternoon there will be an opportunity to join an optional Sundowner Drive, booking is essential and your guide can assist on departure this morning (own expense approximately ZAR 1600 per person).

Note as this is a public game drive, other guests will join you and the advantage will be that you will be able to later around the dinner share experiences and photos with them. A game drive lasts around three hours. (Children under 6 years of age are not permitted on open vehicle drives)

When you return to a tasty dinner awaiting you. You will end the evening sharing safari stories, before going to sleep.
