Nairobi to Lake Naivasha
You will be picked up from your hotel in Nairobi by our local safari guide. Arrive at Lake Naivasha and go on a guided walk at Crescent Island which includes a boat trip. Kindly note that you have the option of visiting Hell's Gate National Park instead of Crescent Island. Depending on your preference, we can either take a picnic lunch with us or drive to the resort for a hot buffet lunch. After the tour, we will drive back to the resort for dinner and overnight.
Lake Naivasha is particularly famous for its rich birdlife. More than 400 species have been spotted. The shores host abundant birdlife including pelicans, cormorants and fish-eagles. Hippos graze all around us at night and sleep under the trees or in the water by day.

Lake Naivasha to Masai Mara Game Reserve
After breakfast, we will drive to the Masai Mara Game Reserve. This will be about a 6-hour drive depending on traffic and stopovers. We will arrive in time for a hot lunch. After lunch, we will have an afternoon game drive then drive back to the camp/lodge for dinner and overnight.
This is the most visited and perhaps the most beautiful of the country’s game reserves. Laying at an altitude of 1650m (5414ft) it covers an area of 1,510 sq km (almost 600 sq miles) and forms the northern extension of the Serengeti National Park in Tanzania. The Mara is a Maasai word meaning spotted or dappled. It is a mosaic of rolling grassland dominated by red oat grass, small bush-covered hills. Along the Mara River and its tributaries flowing towards Lake Victoria, you will find riverine bush and forest.

Masai Mara Game Reserve
Today, we will have a full day game drive in the reserve with a picnic lunch provided. Should you wish, a guided morning or afternoon walk can be organized upon request. Dinner and overnight will be organized at the lodge/campsite.
All members of the Big Five (lion, leopard, African elephant, Cape buffalo and rhino) are found in the Masai Mara. The population of black rhinos was fairly numerous until 1960, but it was severely depleted by poaching in the 1970s and early 1980s, dropping to a low of 15 individuals. Numbers have been slowly increasing. Hippo and crocodile are found in large groups in the Mara and Talek Rivers. Leopard, hyena, cheetah, jackal and the bat-eared fox can also be found in the reserve. The plains between the Mara River and the Esoit Siria Escarpment are probably the best area for game viewing, in particular lion and cheetah. As in the Serengeti, the wildebeest are the dominant inhabitants of the Masai Mara, and their numbers are estimated in the millions.

This is Tanzania’s oldest and most popular national park. It is a World Heritage Site and recently proclaimed a worldwide wonder. The Serengeti is famed for its annual migration when some six million hooves pound the open plains. More than 200,000 zebra and 300,000 Thompson’s gazelle join the wildebeest trek for fresh grazing. Even when the migration is quiet, Serengeti National Park offers the most scintillating game viewing in Africa. Great herds of buffalo, smaller groups of elephant and giraffe, the thousands upon thousands of eland, topi, kongoni, impala and Grant’s gazelle are a sight to behold.

The main feature of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area is the Ngorongoro Crater, the world’s largest inactive, intact and unfilled volcanic caldera. Estimates of the height of the original volcano range from 4,500 to 5,800m (14,800 to 19,000 ft) high. The elevation of the crater floor is 1,800m (5,900 ft) above sea level.

Lake Manyara National Park is located in the northern part of Tanzania, 126 km west of Arusha. This park is well known for its tree-climbing lions and the soda ash lake that attracts thousands of pink flamingos.
The shallow Lake Manyara is an alkaline lake that swells up and reduces in size depending on the seasons. It covers an area of 220 sq km, which is two-thirds of the park’s total surface area. The lake hosts a large number of pink flamingoes. The game includes plenty of elephants, wildebeest, giraffe, and buffalo. The park is also very famous for its large number of zebra, impala, and waterbuck. On the slopes of the escarpment, you may need to search a little harder for the tiny and elusive Kirk’s dik-dik and klipspringer.

Lake Manyara to Tarangire National Park
After breakfast, we will head out for a full-day game drive to Tarangire National Park with a picnic lunch provided. Dinner and overnight at camp/lodge.
Tarangire National Park is the sixth-largest national park in Tanzania, located in the Manyara Region. The name of the park originates from the Tarangire River that crosses the park. The river is the primary source of fresh water for wild animals during the annual dry season. The Tarangire ecosystem is defined by the long-distance migration of wildebeest and zebra. During the dry season, thousands of animals concentrate in Tarangire National Park from the surrounding wet-season dispersal and calving areas. The park is also famous for its high density of elephants and baobab trees.
