Day 2

Discover the Tarangire National Park

After breakfast, set off on a safari with your private car and driver to Tarangire National Park (approx. 120 km). Named for the river that nourishes the wildlife of a vast ecosystem, Tarangire is home to elephant, zebra, wildebeest, gazelle, buffalo, eland, waterbuck, lion, giraffe, onyx and an unsurpassed diversity of birds. From June to November, masses of wildlife congregate around the river, but the park is a stronghold for big game all year-round. Take your first game drive before retiring to your beautifully designed tented lodge, hidden among ancient baobab trees and giant rock kopjes within the park.

On to Lake Manyara National Park

On to Lake Manyara National Park

After breakfast, you'll depart for Lake Manyara National Park (approx 90 Km) with en-route views. Nestling at the base of the Great Rift Valley escarpment, is a beautiful park. Lake Manyara contains a diverse range of habitats and topographical features ranging from the rift wall, groundwater forest, acacia woodlands and open grasslands to the shores of Lake Manyara and the lake itself. Have afternoon game viewing in the park searching for the diverse flora and fauna of the park. There are some 350 different bird species in the park. The park provides sanctuary to a variety of animals such as the gazelle, impala, buffalo, wildebeest, hyena, baboon, giraffe, hippo and the famous tree-climbing lions that are unique to the park. The park is generally recognized for its incredible beauty.

The legendary Serengeti Plain is your destination today (210 km), a vast rolling plain whose sparse vegetation allows for some of the best wildlife viewing in the world. The annual migration of wildebeest and zebra is one of the park’s great attractions. Throughout the year, the Serengeti is excellent for seeing predators such as lion, leopard and cheetah, along with elephant, giraffe, hyena, hippo, rhino, and many varieties of antelopes and birds. Depending on the animal movement, we can arrange packed lunch or go back to the lodge for hot lunch. The evening is free to rest.

If you rise up early, you can take a morning game drive through the park to see the nocturnal predators returning from their nightly hunt and very active animals waking up in the early morning light. Depending on the time of year and the migration of the herds, you can expect to see wildebeest, lions, elephants, giraffes, zebras, monkeys, baboons, hippos, rhinos, antelopes, birds and other species.
We enjoy morning and afternoon game viewing drives on the vast Serengeti plains. In the early morning and evening light, the Serengeti landscape is stunningly beautiful. The Serengeti ecosystem supports the greatest remaining concentration of plains game in Africa, including more than three million large mammals. The park is one that can never disappoint. One is spoilt by the variety of bird and wildlife species in this game reserve.
Depending on wildlife movement, we can have hot lunch at the camp or enjoy picnic lunch packets.

Day 6

Ngorongoro Crater

After breakfast, we'll drive and descend some 610 meters into the crater. It is home to an abundance of wildlife and a photogenic paradise, for a full day of game viewing drive with a picnic lunch at a private scenic site (hippos pool). Ngorongoro Crater, the largest intact caldera in the world teams with an abundance of wildlife permanently resident on the crater floor. Prides of lions, herds of Cape buffalo, impalas, Thompson gazelles, rhinos, golden- and black-backed jackal, zebras, cheetahs, leopards and the spotted hyenas freely roam on the crater floor plains. Unmatched for its natural variety and breathtaking beauty, there are few places on earth where such a tremendous diversity of landscapes exist inside a region this size. Apart from its wildlife riches, the crater is also home to hundreds of bird species, refreshing in the small lakes on the crater floor.
In the evening, we will drive back to our game lodge for your overnight stay.

Early in the morning, we will depart to the village for a local hunting experience with Hadzabe and Datonga tribes. This is not a mere performance. The bushmen rely on these techniques to survive and you’ll need to be very attentive and at times quiet, while they demonstrate their use of locally made poisons in incapacitating the poor creatures on which they depend for survival.
Return to your lodge in the evening for a rest.

Drive to Arusha - Fly to Zanzibar

Drive to Arusha - Fly to Zanzibar

You'll leave the Ngorongoro Area for Arusha (Approx 195kms). Here you can explore the city, go shopping for souvenirs or just relax. If you want, we can organize an optional program like the visit of a Maasai Village or Snake Park. This will however depend on your flight to Zanzibar this afternoon. Proceed to the airport for your evening flight to Zanzibar.

The flight to Zanzibar take approximately 1 ¼ hours and upon arrival, our meet and greet representative will meet you and escort you to your beach hotel where you'll stay for 4 nights. Zanzibar beach tour is a short perfect trip for relaxing after a safari in the African bush. It combines the magic that is Stone Town with Zanzibar historical sites.

A cocktail and a golden sunset go hand in hand, so be sure to indulge as the sun melts away and day turns to night. In the evening, wander the beaches and the white sands of Zanzibar. Beach volleyball and other games are some of the activities you can indulge in at your resort during the days and nights.
