On arrival at Kigali International Airport, where you will be met by the Silverback Expeditions representative and transferred to the hotel for a good night of sleep, as you will leave in the next morning in the direction of Volcanoes National Park - the Rwanda section of the Virunga Conservation Area.

Kigali - Volcanoes National Park

After breakfast, you'll go on a tour in Kigali (including City Tour + Genocide Memorial + Kigali Mille Colline). After lunch, leave in the direction of Volcanoes National Park. It takes about 3 hours drive. This is the last night before the unforgettable experience of Gorilla Trekking.

Gorilla Tracking in the Rain Forest

Today after early breakfast you take the activity of the mountain gorilla trekking into the rain forest of Volcanoes National Park. After the briefing from the rangers of the O.R.T.P.N (the Rwanda Park Authority), you'll reach the starting point of your trekking, according to the family you have been appointed to. It is on the park authority to decide on the distribution of the permits on arrival. You carry with you a packed lunch and a light rain jacket, wear trekking boots. In the afternoon we can organize the community walk at the eco-tourist site of Iby'Iwacu Cultural Village.
