Day 1

We will have a driver who will also double as your tour guide pick you up at the Entebbe International Airport. You will have a stop at the Equator where you will have an opportunity to stand in two of the world’s hemispheres at the same time. You will also a have a chance to look at and pickup traditional artifacts at the equator.

You will further on continue on your safari with a drive to Queen Elizabeth national park, Uganda’s most visited national park located in western Uganda. Since you will arrive late, you will check into your place of accommodation as per earlier booking for a great evening and overnight stay.

Day 2

Your Uganda chimpanzee wild safari will continue with an early morning breakfast thereafter head out to Queen Elizabeth National Park for a game drive. You will drive through the mweya sector, the nortern part of the park, which is flooding with wildlife. You will set sights on a number of animals like Elephants, cape buffalos, African Warthogs, hyenas and Uganda kobs. The park also provides an amazing birding experience as it is a home to over 606 bird species.

After relaxing for a while and having lunch, you will continue with yoursafari to the kazinga channel, a fresh water channel joining lakes George and Edward. This channel holds the largest population of Nile crocodiles. While on your boat launch, you will be able to enjoy a better view of animals lying along the shores and others coming to drink water. Hippos and birds like flamingos, pelicans flood the water providing for a chance at a fascinating photography. You then retire to your lodge in the evening.

Day 3

Drive to kibale forest National Park

Have early morning breakfast and continue on your Uganda safari drive to Kibale Forest National park. You will have a chance at a visit to the king of toro Oyo Nyimba Kabamba Iguru’s palace. You will have your lunch in Fort-portal town and also have the chance to visit the crater lakes which are a pride in this area. These lakes are as old as over 10,000 BC which were formed as a result of violent volcanic activity. The volcanoes now lie dormant leaving behind amazing scenery for photography and swimming.

On a clear day, one can spot the Rwenzori Mountains, the tallest in Uganda. Proceed to your hotel for a beautiful night’s rest and refreshing evening.

Day 4

After a warm hearty breakfast, the adventurers will be required to assemble for a short briefing before venturing into the deep jungle to find the curious chimpanzees. Kibale forest thick vegetation harboring a variety of primates and bird species alike. Marvel at the intriguing chimpanzees as they jump and sway from branch to branch picking up fruit in their wake. Spot other animals like monkeys hiding behind trees with the help of your expert game ranger as you are attempting to find the chimpanzees.

After your trek, go for a guided wetland walk in Bigodi. The swamp’s bird life, monkeys and thick vegetation provide for beautiful scenery and relaxing environment. There might also be a chance for you to meet the community of people, living near the wetland. Ask them questions about their way of life and their heritage.
