1-Day Kilimanjaro Walking to First Camp 1

• You'll be collected from the airport.

Your trip starts with meeting your guide at your accommodation in Arusha or Kilimanjaro Airport. You'll then be transferred to the Marangu gate of Kilimanjaro National Park, the drive takes about 1.5 hours. At the gate, you will have to register with the park rangers and our guide will also give you a packed lunch. Once the formalities are over, you will start your slow walk through beautiful tropical forest. The walk will take around 3 hours to Mandara Huts. You go at a slow pace so you can enjoy the nature that surrounds you. Once at Mandara Huts (2,750 meters), you will take a rest and enjoy your packed lunch. Feel free to wonder around the camp area and take photographs. After lunch, your guide will take you on a short walk to Maundi Crater before you start your descend back down to Marangu gate, taking your time as there is no hurry.

This day trip is an excellent way to see a different environment away from the game drives. Later, drive to Arusha town or Kilimanjaro Airport.
