Day 2

Transfer to Murchison Falls via Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary

Transfer to Murchison Falls via Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary

After breakfast, you will kick start this day’s nature adventure with an exciting road trip to Murchison Falls National Park. Along the way, you will make a stop at the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary where rhinos are being reintroduced to the wild in Uganda so that you have a complete feel of the African Big Five mammals as it is the rhinos, out of the big five that are missing in Murchison Falls National Park. You will have lunch at the sanctuary and some relaxation for an indefinitely short time and embark on an exciting road trip to Murchison Falls. Upon arrival inside the park, you will be amazed by the beautiful landscape while occasionally sighting warthogs and other wildlife while on a drive to the top of the falls whose views are breathtaking. It is such a beautiful sight with incredible picture moments. You will drive to the lodge for dinner and your overnight.

Morning Game Drive (Big Game Search) and Afternoon Boat Cruise

On this day, take pleasure in a morning game drive towards the Albert and Victoria Nile, and experience a great deal of wildlife and birds. Along the way, look out for herds of elephants, giraffes, antelopes, the Uganda kobs, buffaloes, waterbucks, lions, and several bird species among others.

Later on, you will enjoy your packed lunch and some relaxation for an indefinitely short time. We will set out for the afternoon boat ride on the Victoria Nile which is the highlight of any Murchison Falls safari for you get to spot lots of animals at a close encounter. You will spot lots of hippos, Nile crocodiles, elephants, buffaloes, and many other animals that come to drink water, refresh, cool themselves off the scorching sun and eat the fresh grass along the river banks. Later on, you will return to the lodge for dinner and your overnight stay.

After a healthy breakfast, you will be transferred to Kibale Forest National Park, the capital world of primates such as chimpanzee, baboons and monkeys with en-route lunch meals. Upon arrival, you will check in at your lodge for dinner and peaceful rest as you get prepared for the next day’s wildlife adventure (chimpanzee trekking) in the tranquil forest.

Chimpanzee Trekking and Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

After having breakfast, assemble at the park headquarters for a briefing and then go for the most popular activity in this park which is chimpanzee tracking. Chimpanzees are man’s closet cousins though they are one of the most threatened primate’s species. More primates like black and white Columbus monkeys, L’Hoest monkeys, grey cheeked mangabeys, red tailed monkeys, bush babies, pottos, can be seen here. There are also many bird species such as the yellow spotted nicator, rumped tinker bird, little greenbul, green breasted pitta, the crowned eagle, black bee eater and mammals like elephants seen in this trek. Have lunch and relax for some time. Later, transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park where you will view wild animals en route as you transfer to the lodge for relaxation, dinner and your overnight rest.

Have an early morning breakfast then go for a morning game drive within the park. Expect to see mammals that are members of the famous Big Five including buffalos, elephants, lions and other like the giant forest hog, bush bucks, kobs, hyenas and water bucks. You will have lunch and relaxation for sometime and in the afternoon hours, you will embark on a launch cruise along Kazinga Channel. You will appreciate the high scores of elephants, hippos, buffalos and crocodiles. A number of bird species will also be seen including the pelicans, fish eagles, king fishers among others. You will return to the lodge for dinner and your overnight rest.

Day 7

Transfer to Bwindi via the Tree-Climbing Zone, Ishasha

Transfer to Bwindi via the Tree-Climbing Zone, Ishasha

Transfer through the Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park on the way to Bwindi. This area is known for its tree-climbing lions.

In Ishasha, we will drive off in this adventurous vast savannah area with topis and African elephants to hopefully get to see the lions high in the fig tree branches. You will have lunch in Ishasha and continue with the transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Here you will experience a change in the landscape from flat savanna, via cultivated hills to jungle covered mountains. You will later check in at your lodge for dinner and your overnight rest.

Day 8

Gorilla Trekking and Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi

Gorilla Trekking and Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi

Have an early morning breakfast and proceed to the park's briefing point. Enjoy the highlight of your trip, gorilla trekking, which may last from 2 to 6 hours depending on the group you are visiting. We trek through the rain forest and bamboo covered slopes, accompanied by a Uganda Wildlife Authority guide and other trackers, in search of a mountain gorilla family.

The walking can sometimes be tough and long, but when you catch a glimpse of the magnificent silver-back, any discomforts will be quickly forgotten. Due to the nature of the activity, you will have packed lunch. After gorilla trekking, you will drive through the terraced hills to Lake Bunyonyi for a relaxed evening at the resort with a stunning view of Lake Bunyonyi. You can even have a canoe ride on the lake to discover its scattered Islands (optional). You will later check in at your lodge for dinner and your overnight rest.

Transfer Back to Entebbe via the Equator

After having breakfast, start on the drive back to Entebbe/Kampala with the memory of the great rare mountain apes and the great savannah mammals. Enjoy lunch en route, plus a stopover at the Equator line at Kayabwe Trading Centre. You'll be arriving late in the evening to be dropped at your point of drop off such as airport, hotel, home, etc.
