Arrival and Mabamba Shoebill Excursion
Meet and great with Ganyana safari driver / guide at Entebbe international Airport. You will be transferred to your hotel for safari briefing and lunch. In the afternoon you will set off to Mabamba Wetland which is the nearest site for the Shoebill on a canoe. Look out for Lesser Jacana, Blue Swallow, Black-Shouldered Nightjar, Afep Pigeon, Blue Breasted Bee-Eater, Papyrus Gonolek, and White Winged Warbler and in the afternoon visit the botanical gardens which is another bird haven in Entebbe.

Spot Fishing on the Nile & Birding in Mabira Forest
Early in the morning after breakfast, head to the source of the Nile one of the best places to go for sport fishing while on your Ugandan safari. You will enjoy this activity with high chances of catching the massive Nile perch and Tilapia.
After fishing, head for birding in Mabira forest. Mabira forest the largest remaining tropical rain forest near central Uganda, also most significant ornithological places in Uganda with not less than 300 species. You will be looking out for the Grey and Yellow Long bill, Olive Green Cameroptera, Tit Hylia, Yellow Billed, Yellow Spotted, Speckled, and Hairy Breasted Barbet, African pitta, Soty Fly Catcher, Fire Crested Allethe, Nahan’s Francolin, Weyn’s weaver, purple-throated cuckoo-shrike and many more.

Travel back to Entebbe
