Day 2

Tarangire National Park

Tarangire National Park

After breakfast you will head to Tarangire national park the lesser park on the northern circuit but with highest concentration of wildlife outside of Serengeti. Tarangire is over 1000 elephants as well as some beautiful iconic African landscapes with baobab trees (tree of life) scattered through the park. The home for over 500 bird species, for bird lovers this is the best place to be. Later you will head to your accommodation for some rest and an overnight stay.

Enjoy the morning breakfast and later you will head to Serengeti national park via Ndutu area. Lake Ndutu is in Ngorongoro conservation area and it’s the part of southern Serengeti Eco-system. Lake Ndutu is an alkaline lake, like most of the rift lakes but is water is drinkable and it is used by a wide range of local wildlife. Enjoying sometimes here before continue to Central part of Serengeti for more game drives.

A final game viewing in the central part of Serengeti, Seronera a year-round game viewing site with greater diversity of resident’s wildlife than anywhere in Serengeti including elephant, giraffe, impala, waterbuck, hippo, reedbuck, buffalo and baboon, which remain even after the spectacular hordes of blue wildebeest and zebras have gone. Lion, leopard and cheetah can be spotted in one day game drives. Later you will head to Northern part of Serengeti for Migration witnessing.

Explore the Great Migration crossing the Mara River

Enjoy the full day along Mara river, following the great migration of more than a million wildebeests, more than 250,000 zebras accompanied by antelopes. Spend the time in this northern part exploring the northern and southern banks waiting for possible crossing. Watching the energy build until the final amazing crossing of the river. If you’re lucky enough, you will witness the wildebeests crossing the Mara River toward Masai Mara nature reserve in Kenya as well as the hungry crocodiles hunting their prey. Enjoy the excellent views of the southern Masai Mara plains towards the north and beautiful sunset towards the west. Later you will drive back to your lodge for evening leisure, dinner and an overnight stay.

Early morning games are always recommended as animals are mostly active during this time of the day. Enjoy the final time in this northern migration part for more chances of witnessing the river crossing. After lunch you will proceed with the safari heading back to Ngorongoro Crater. You will arrive at the edge of the crater in the evening where you will have your first foretaste of what awaits you the following day open grassland and countless number of animals. You will have some rest and evening leisure waiting for the Crater drive on the following day.

Discover the world heritage site with integration of natural resources and human development

Drive down to the adventurous track in the crater. Due to its dense animal population approximately 25000, the crater offers the best game viewing of all the places in Tanzania. You will be able to see wildebeest, zebras, gazelles, elephants and some of the more than 500 bird species in the area. You will spend sometimes in the crater taking photos and enjoying the game.

Later you will drive back to Arusha then transfer to the airport for your flight back home.
