Entebbe Airport to Queen Elizabeth National park
A representative of Irembo Holidays Safaris will drive you to the lodge, check in at Buffalo Safari Lodge or its equivalent located in Queen Elizabeth National park. Queen Elizabeth is Uganda’s second largest park, located at the base of Rwenzori Mountain range, adjacent to Lake Edward and Lake George.
You will take some time to rest and prepare for the following days which are filled with many adventurous and awesome activities.

Game drive in Queen Elizabeth National Park
After breakfast, you will go for a morning game drive in Queen Elizabeth National park, you are likely to see animals like the Lion, Leopard, Hyenas, Elephants. Buffaloes, Warthogs, Waterbucks and many more. Meeting game is always a stunning experience.
Have lunch at the lodge, then prepare for an evening game drive. During your evening safari, you will visit some of the salt-lake and other crater lakes in the park and some fish landing sites.
Dinner and overnight at Buffalo Safari Lodge or its equivalent.

Chimps and boat tour on Kazinga channel
We take a nature walk tracking chimpanzees in the morning at the gorge or Kalinzu forest in the park. It’s a spectacular experience to see the chimpanzees at a close range. Expect to see some birds like Black headed Gonolek, Blue spotted Wood dove, Grey backed Fiscal, Yellow Wagtail and so much more.
Lunch will be served at the lodge.
In the afternoon, you will set off for boat tour on the Kazinga Channel that connects Lake George and Edward looking for animals and water birds. This channel harbors many bird species including African spoonbill, water think knee, marsh, green, gray headed gull, plain Martin lesser swamp-Warbler, and white pelican. Animals include one of the largest concentrations of the Hippos in the world, Crocodiles, Elephants among others.

Lion experiential tour in the park and hot spring
Lion experiential tourism is one of Uganda’s most thrilling and rewarding experiences. You will spend three to five hours tracking a pride of lions and learning their habits and hunting tricks from the park’s researcher. Usually, the pride of lions to be tracked have a lion with a radio collar attached, and through a complex designed radio antenna, you are 100% sure of seeing the lions. Lions move in groups of 3- 25 individuals in a pride. During the tracking, the number of lions being tracked can grow without warning when individual or multiple lions join the initial group. Take note of nocturnal vocalizations (roars) and their intensity, including hyena calls and any distress calls from prey.
Have lunch at the lodge.
Later in the day you will go to Kasese to visit the Hot springs at Kiwa Heritage. Here you may get into the hot water, learn about the history of the Hotsprings, and some cultural briefs of the local habitats.

Game drive in Ishasha and night game drive
You will enjoy a game drive in Ishasha in the morning. View the famous and only know tree climbing lions in the wild. Ishasha is the southern region of Queen Elizabeth National park. It’s well known for the tree climbing lions lounging in the branches. It’s another place where you can find many herds of Topi and buffalo.
After dinner, you set off for a night game drive in the park. This is a chance to see animals which come from hiding in the night like Hyenas. You will have a chance to watch the lions, even a leopard on a night hunting.

Nature walk and community walk
This day you will go for a nature walk through the forest at Jacana side of the park which has some primates like Baboons, Monkeys. The forest also has bird species like Rwenzori Turaco, Fly catchers. You will visit the bat caves and more caves in Rubirizi. Our guide will take you through this incredible walk. You will be guided passed the famous twin, crater lakes, and other great landscape features.
Later in the evening you will go for a community walk. The walk through the local community gives you the opportunity to meet and interact with people of different culture, tribes indigenous to the park.
Return to the lodge for dinner.

Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
Have breakfast, check out from Buffalo Safari Lodge or its equivalent and set off to Bwindi Impenetrable National park. The journey may take 6-8 hours drive to get to Bwindi. You will enjoy the beautiful scenery of western Uganda.
Overnight at Buhoma community Rest Camp or equivalent.

Gorilla Tracking in Bwindi Forest
You will get an early breakfast, then prepare yourself for an encounter with one of Bwindi’s mountain gorillas. Bwindi Impenetrable Forest has mountain gorillas and chimpanzees. It also hosts five other species of primate, 113 species of mammal, over 200 butterflies and 360 birds. The gorillas you encounter on your tracking belong to one of nine habituated family groups who can tolerate the presence of humans for a brief period every day.

Batwa Trail and Waterfalls
This day you will meet the Batwa community. The Batwa are Uganda’s traditionally forest-dwelling pygmy people. About a century ago, there was a conflict between the Batwa and the Bantu speaking people in the region, because of this conflict the Batwa were forced to hide in Garama Cave. The cave is 342 meters in length and 14 meters deep, and is now only inhabited by bats, The walk to and from the cave passes through mountain woodland with plenty of opportunity to enjoy the scenery and/or watch birds.
From there you will be guided to the beautiful, fresh waterfall some where close to the middle of the forest, a spectacular sight to behold.
You will be driven back to the lodge after the walk.

Transfer to Entebbe Airport and Departure
After breakfast at the lodge, you will checkout, set off and head for Entebbe Airport or hotel in Entebbe town. You will have a quick stop in Mbarara for lunch and proceed. This journey may take between 7-8 hours.
