The capital city of Namibia settled in the country's central highlands with ahistory of co;onial era. On the hilltop in the centre of the city are the 1890s Alte Feste a former military headquarters with historical exhibits and the Independence Memorial Museum. some colinial influences can be visible in the nearby buildings like the sandstone Lutheran Christus Church. Upon arrival you check in at the hotel and a city and township tour awaits, with mixture of culture and tradition you'll experience the tribes of the Hereros, Oshiwambo, Nama, Damara, Himba, Caprivi waht they eat and a chance of their cuisene. With many stories to tell from one of the locals it will be washed down with dinner at one of the local restaurant as you await the next day of adventure.

Day 2

Swakopmund Dunes Await

Swakopmund Dunes Await

An early drive to the coastal town of Swakopmund established by the Germans in 1892 with colonial landmarks that include Swakopmund Lighthouse and The Mole an old sea wall, reminiscent of a typical bygon European seaside town. Swakopmud is Namibia's adventure hub with various optional activities on offer. On arrival you take a trip to the Cape cross and enjoy the Salt works, Lichen field, Wlotzabaken, Dead Sea, Cape cross. Back in Swakopmund take a leisurely stroll in this cosy town that is given character by the mist coming off the cold Atlantic current with a visit to the Museum, National Marine Aquarium and Kristall Galerie.

Day 3-4

Namib Naukluft

Namib Naukluft

Depart Swakopmund and stop briefly in the habour town of Walvis Bay to look at the bird life in the lagoon which is home to the Flamingos, Pelicans and the Damara terns. The harbor is busy with fishing boats and ships. East of Walvis Bay is Dune 7 which marks the start of the Namib Desert. Then proceed into the Namib naukluft Park as you make way towards Sossusvlei stopping at The Tropic of Capricon. The rugged Kuiseb Canyon is a wonder to behold. On arrival you check into your lodge and take a leisurely walk to enjoy sunset views.

On the next day an early wake up before sunrise and winter the park in order to witness the amazing colour change of the dunes as the sun rises. Visit Dune 45, Deadvlei, Sossusvlei Series Canyon.

Fish River Canyon

With the separation of the Gondwana about 120 million years ago and the uplifting of the African Continent the gradient of the Fish River increased allowing it to erode even deeper into the rock. As we drive through the sleepy desert towns enroute to Fish River were Canyon Roadhouse is your home for the night. You take a sunset tour to visit the sedond largest Canyon in the world.

We continue south till we get to Orange River and our lodge Felix Unite is well placed with commanding views of the river. Before getting to Orange River we stop at Ais Ais hot springs famous for the hot sulphur springs. On arrival after check in a choice of fishing, rafting or canoeing enjoying the laid back atmosphere.

Crossing the border in South Africa Clanwilliam town is the first stop. An early drive through the karoo to Clanwilliam town whose fame is home of Rooibos tea and your lodge is Clanwilliam Lodge. Settled in the Olifants River Valley on the western cape this small town has a lot to offer. After checking a vast choice of activities are on offer such as Rock Art, a meal at the Khoisan Kitchen, fishing, a visit at the Rooibos factory or a visit at the CederbergPrivate Cellar.
