Day 1

Upon your arrival at Entebbe Airport, you will be welcomed by our customer care representative and your allocated English-speaking safari guide to a meet and greet. Thereafter, transfer to your booked hotel in Entebbe town. The hotel is about 10 to 15 minutes drive from the airport on the shores of Lake Victoria.

Depending on your time of arrival, visit the Entebbe botanical gardens which are found on the shore of Lake Victoria in Entebbe town for a walking safari. Botanical gardens are home to some primate species such as vervet monkeys and several bird species. The walk will take you to the shores of Lake Victoria where you will have a chance to spot some water birds, and enjoy the fresh breeze from the lake as well as get used to Uganda’s beautiful nature. Lake Victoria is the largest water body in Africa and the second largest freshwater body in the world and is shared by three East African Countries (Uganda, Tanzania, and Kenya). Dinner and your overnight are at your hotel.

Day 2

Entebbe Town - Drive to Lake Mburo National Park - Evening and Night Game Drive Safaris

Entebbe Town - Drive to Lake Mburo National Park - Evening and Night Game Drive Safaris

After breakfast, leave Entebbe for Lake Mburo National Park. Have a stopover at the Kayabwe equator line for the water experiments carried out on both sides of the hemisphere to show the difference in the movement forces on each side of the equator. Have a cup of coffee to feel the taste of the Ugandan-made coffee, and then continue to the park to check in at the lodge to refresh, have lunch, and then go for an evening game drive. Enjoy wildlife encounters such as the beautiful zebras, impalas, elands, topis, Cape buffaloes, and giraffes. Return to the lodge to have dinner and drive back to the park for an adventurous night game drive to enjoy the nightlife of the jungle and see how wild animals behave at night. The night game drive will boost your chances of seeing nocturnal wildlife species such as spotted hyenas, leopards, porcupines, and bush babies, among others, which are very difficult to see during day game drives. Later, return to the lodge for an overnight stay.

Day 3

After breakfast, go on the horseback riding safari. This is a very peaceful way to enjoy and explore the jungle. During the horseback riding safari, you will have the opportunity to get very close to animals like zebras, impalas, and elands. This is because the horses look familiar to the zebras but without the black and white stripes like them, so this attracts the zebras to look at them curiously, wondering why their relatives do not have the stripes. Thereafter, do a game drive to deeply explore the park. Have a chance to encounter a high concentration of mammals like zebras, giraffes, impalas, elands, buffaloes, and many others. After the game drive, leave the park for Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, home to half of the world’s population of remaining mountain gorillas. It is also home to 119 other mammals, 350 bird species, and 400 tree species that form the impenetrable evergreen forest. On arrival at the park, check in at the lodge to refresh, have dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4

Mountain Gorilla Trekking Experience - Drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park

Dress up in the recommended style for the best gorilla trekking safari, wear long trousers, possibly khaki or jean, a long-sleeved shirt, water-proof hiking shoes, a waterproof jacket, a round hut, and hand gloves. Have breakfast and then drive to the park offices for the pre-gorilla trekking briefing, and then start the forest walk in search of the mountain gorillas. The time taken before meeting the gorillas is not known, but it can take about 45 minutes to 6 hours, depending on the location of your assigned gorilla family. Once you meet the gorillas, you will stay with them for one hour, and you will be free to take as many photos as you want. After an hour with the gorillas, return to the starting point to get your trekking certificates, have lunch, and later start the drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park via the Ishasha sector to do a game drive in search of the tree-climbing lions. After the game drive, proceed to the northern sector of the park for check in at the lodge.

Today, you can put on light clothes and simple shoes, have breakfast, and head to the park for a morning game drive safari. Expect to see mammals like buffaloes, elephants, Uganda kobs, other antelope species, lions, leopards, and spotted hyenas, among others. After the game drive, return to the lodge and spend some time at leisure till lunchtime. Afterwards, go for an afternoon boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel. The boat safari on the Kazinga Channel is considered one of the highlights activities of your visit to Queen Elizabeth National Park. During the boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel, expect to see several mammal species such as hippos, Nile crocodiles, elephants and buffaloes, and many antelope species swimming and others on the shoreline. After the boat cruise safari on the Kazinga Channel, drive back to the park for an evening game drive to search for more wildlife species mostly the predators. Return to the lodge for dinner and your overnight stay.

Have breakfast and check out for chimp trekking in Kalinzu forest. Come back from the forest and head to Entebbe International Airport for your flight. You'll have a stopover at Igongo Cultural Centre for lunch then proceed to the airport to catch your flight back home.
