Arrive at Arusha’s Kilimanjaro International Airport and meet your customer service representative. Transfer to Arusha town situated at the foot of Mount Meru. Check in to the Four Points Sheraton Arusha, a modern hotel nestled against one of the most majestic backdrops of the picturesque Mount Meru, sister peak to Africa's highest summit, Mount Kilimanjaro.

Day 2

Tarangire National Park

Tarangire National Park

After breakfast transfer check out of the hotel and set off to Tarangire National Park for a game drive. The park has an incredible diversity of landscapes and vegetation and is famous for the large number of elephants, baobabs and climbing lions. The topography of the hills covered with baobabs and anthills is divided by the river Tarangire which attracts a large number of animals migrating in the dry season. Continue in the afternoon to the Manyara area and to check into the lovely Escarpment Luxury Lodge for dinner.

Day 3

Lake Manyara National Park

This morning after breakfast drive into Lake Manyara National Park for game drives for a better part of the morning. Located in the northern part of Tanzania, Lake Manyara National Park is 330 sq kms, and is well known for the tree climbing lions, the soda ash lake and its flamingos, We are talking about breathtaking scenery! Return to the lodge for lunch. In the afternoon we have our fist cultural experience as we head to visit Mto Wa Umbu township. Enjoy and indulge yourself in the diverse culture of Tanzania as you take a guided walking tour through the local streets of Mto wa Mbu to see the local life. Return to your lodge for dinner.

Day 4

Serengeti National Park

Depart after breakfast this morning and drive past the Ngorongoro Crater area en route to the Serengeti. We will make a stop at the famous Olduvai Gorge Palaeolithic site and reputed Cradle of Mankind Museum for a visit followed by a picnic lunch. Continue with a game drive in the Serengeti en route to our lovely luxury tented camp where we will check in for dinner.

You will enjoy two full days of game drives in the Serengeti today either with morning and afternoon excursions or a full day exploring the reaches of the Seronera area, the most wildlife-rich region of the Serengeti. Whilst the annual migration is the Serengeti’s most famous attraction, the park is also renowned for its wealth of lion, cheetah, zebra, giraffe, Thomson’s and Grant’s gazelle, eland, impala, klipspringer, hippo and warthog.

After breakfast depart with game drive en route through the Serengeti to the Ngorongoro Crater Conservation Area. We will stop for a visit to a traditional Masai homestead where we will gain some insight into these iconic peoples of the Mara-Serengeti ecosystem. Continue to the Ngorongoro area and check in to the Ngorongoro Serena Lodge which offers the finest location of all the crater rim lodges. This afternoon is free for you to enjoy the majestic setting of the lodge.

Rise early with a packed breakfast to descend for half day game drive in the crater. Often referred to as ‘the eighth wonder of the world’ the Ngorongoro Crater is one of Africa’s best-known wildlife arenas. The Ngorongoro Crater is one of the largest volcanic craters in the world covering a total area of 264 square kilometres. An utterly unique biosphere, the Crater harbours grasslands, swamps, forests, salt pans, a fresh water lake and a glorious variety of birdlife, all enclosed within its towering walls. It boasts a high concentration of wildlife with exceptionally close range viewing opportunities. Leaving the crater behind, we will continue to check into the Acacia Farm Lodge. This afternoon we will visit a local coffee plantation to gain insight into the industry around this important crop.

Day 9

Lake Eyasi

Lake Eyasi

Depart early this morning for the shores of Lake Eyasi. Today is a day to be immersed in culture as we spend the day with the local Hadzabe and Datoga tribes. The Hadzabe & Datoga are indigenous ethnic groups living around Lake Eyasi in the central Rift Valley. There are about 1300 Hadza people living in Tanzania, however only around 300 Hadza still survive exclusively based on the traditional means of foraging. As descendants of Tanzania's aboriginal hunter-gatherer population, they have probably occupied their current territory for thousands of years, with relatively little modification to their basic way of life. We will have the opportunity to interact with them first hand and perhaps participate in some of their daily activities. Leaving the lake behind, we will continue to the visit our local school project, Simba Milima Primary School where you will have the opportunity to learn about the school and interact with the students.

Departure to Arusha

Departure to Arusha

After a leisurely breakfast continue back with your guide to to Arusha for a late lunch at Arusha Coffee Lodge and then dropped off at Kilimanjaro airport for your flight home. You have the option of being dropped of at Manyara airstrip should you wish to fly down to Zanzibar for some post-safari relaxation.
