Day 1

Arusha to Tarangire National park

Arusha to Tarangire National park

After an early breakfast, your private safari guide will meet and drive you to Tarangire National Park (approximately 120 KM from Arusha). Tarangire is renowned for its elephant families, iconic Baobab trees, the Tarangire river, seasonal swamps and Savannah. The park is also home to buffalos, giraffes, bushbucks and wildebeests amongst others. These animals gather along the Tarangire river and are always closely followed by predators such as lions and leopard. After a fantastic morning game viewing, you will enjoy your picnic lunch by the bank of Tarangire River. After a full day game drive you will exit the park and drive towards Karatu Area for dinner and overnight at Country Lodge.

Day 2

Ngorongoro

After an early breakfast, you will depart the lodge with picnic lunch and drive towards the Ngorongoro crater, the world’s largest volcanic caldera. It is approximately 20 KM wide and 600M deep and is known for its large variety of wildlife. Besides the big five, the crater is also home to wildebeests, gazelles, reedbucks and over 500 bird species. Later in the afternoon, you will ascend the crater and drive toward Serengeti National Park arriving at The Serengeti Heritage Camp at a around 6.00 PM for dinner and overnight.

Day 3

You will have an early morning breakfast and depart the camp with picnic lunch at around 6.30 AM spending approximate 6 – 7 hours game viewing in this incredible park. Apart from the migrating herds and predators, you will also see abundance of wildlife such as impalas, buffalos, crocodiles and hippos. At around 2 PM, you will drive back towards Karatu and arrive in time for dinner at Country Lodge.

Day 4

Lake Manyara to Arusha

Lake Manyara to Arusha

After breakfast, you will make a short drive to Lake Manyara National Park for game viewing. This is a relatively small but diverse park located 120 KM west of Arusha. The park has a shallow salt lake that covers the largest part of its area thus home to thousands of flamingos and over 500 bird species. During your exploration of the park, you will witness monkeys, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, buffalos, elephants, leopards, and if fortunate enough, you will encounter the rare tree climbing lions. After a well deserved lunch break, you will exit the park and drive back to Arusha for drop off either to your accommodation or airport to catch your flight back home.
