Nairobi - Masai Mara National Reserve

We pick you up at the hotel or the airport and leave for Masai Mara National Reserve with a short stopover at the Great Rift Valley. We arrive in good time for lunch and rest. In the afternoon, head out for your first game drive in the park. This enormous reserve is actually part of the vast Serengeti plains, famously known for its spectacular great wildebeest migration. It is home to the Big Five (lion, elephant, leopard, buffalo, and rhino). We return for dinner and overnight at the camp.

Masai Mara National Reserve

After breakfast, we leave for a full-day game drive carrying your packed lunch. We spend the day viewing the great predators and exploring the park's amazingly high concentration of wild animals. Enormous herds of grazing animals can be seen on the plains, while the elusive cheetah and leopard hide amidst the acacia boughs. During the stay, we also have an (optional) opportunity to visit a village of the Maasai people to witness the singing and dancing that are part of their daily lives and sacred rituals. A glimpse into their homes and social structure is a poignant experience. We return for dinner and overnight at the camp.

Masai Mara National Reserve - Lake Nakuru National Park

After breakfast, we leave for Lake Nakuru National Park to arrive in good time for lunch and rest. We head out for an afternoon game drive in the park. The park is home to stunning flocks of lesser and greater flamingos, which literally turn the lakeshores into a magnificent pink stretch. The birdlife here is world-renowned and over 400 bird species exist here, including white pelicans, plovers, egrets, and marabou stork. It is also one of the very few places in Africa to see the white and black rhino, and the rare Rothschild's giraffe. We return for dinner and overnight at the lodge.
