Day 3

Tsavo East To West National Park

Tsavo East To West National Park

After an early morning game drive you will return to your Lodge for breakfast and then leave Tsavo East for Tsavo West Game. Check in at the Ngulia Safaris Lodge and have lunch. In the afternoon you will set out for the game drive viewing animals also visit Mzima is one of Tsavo's most popular wildlife attractions owing to its resident populations of hippos and Nile crocodiles. Mzima's isolation makes both species are dependent on its waters: other sources are too distant for them to reach by overland travel. The hippos also sustain an entire food chain. They browse the surrounding Savannah by night and return to Mzima's pools by day, where their dung fertilizes the water return to the lodge for dinner and your overnight stay. After breakfast you will drive to the southern part of Kenya. You will arrive in Amboseli National Park in the lunch time after check in you will set out for the evening game drive. The park is famous for being the best place in the world to get close to free-ranging elephants The park also has views of Mount Kilimanjaro, the highest free-standing mountain in the world.
Amboseli National Park offers some of the best opportunities to see African wildlife because the vegetation is sparse due to the long, dry months. After Breakfast we depart for Southern part of Kakamega forest, Isecheno Forest station run by the Kenya Forest Service is the most accessible in Tourism. There is the well known Mama Mtere tree, a historic tree and the most photographed tree in Kakamega forest, there are also strangler fig trees. There are hiking trails in the forest that allow for forest walking, camping, hiking, primate watching, bird and butterfly watching, game watching and village walks. The Kakamega Rainforest. Visit the weeping stone Crying stone at Ilesi, located along the Kakamega-Kisumu road on Kisere Forest to see the De-brazes monkey in the north of Kakamega. Also bird watching, morning 6:30 am – 8:30 am is fantastic walk or evening 4:30 pm – 6:30 pm. After the long day visit back for dinner and overnight.

Leaving Kampala we drive the 283km's to Mbarara, travelling via Masaka. We pause at the Equator to take photographs of the crossing, stretch our legs and enjoy some snacks. Then we continue to Igongo Cultural village where we visit the Ankole Museum. At Igongo we learn about the Bahima and Ankole cultures of Uganda, getting a glimpse into the history of these interesting people. We break our journey for lunch along the way and then head to Bwindi Forest. The dense rainforest of Bwindi, famous for its gorilla population, is one of the most fertile and rich in the world, being home to a variety of primates, animals, insects and exotic birds.
