Day 1

After arriving at Kasane Airport, you will be taken to the Old Bridge Backpackers, where you will spend the first night in an en-suite safari tent. The accommodation has en-suite shower and toilet facilities and friendly staff, who will ensure that you have a pleasant stay.

Day 2
Maun to the Okavango Delta
Maun to the Okavango Delta
Depart from Maun at 9.00 am by motor boat. The next about 6 hours will be spent game and bird watching while navigating through the Okavango on the way up to Chiefs Island. A light lunch will be served en route. You will arrive at the camp at around 3:00 pm. At around 5:00 pm depart for a short 1-hour game walk around. Arrive back before sunset which you will enjoy with hippos from the boat and have dinner afterwards, which includes a couple of glasses of wine too. From October, this will be done by mokoro and the trip won't go far into the delta.

Day 3

Wake up at 5.30 am when coffee and tea will be served. Depart at 6:00 am for a three-hour game walk. Other than plains game, there is a very real chance to spot leopard and bushbuck. Arrive back to a full English breakfast. Depart at around midday, and stop for a quick splash in the shallows near a sandbank to cool off. Continue upstream for a couple of hours of game viewing on the way. A light snack lunch will be served en route. Arrive at the campsite at around 3:00 pm. At around 5:00 pm, depart for a one-and-a-half-hour game walk. Arrive back shortly before dark.

Day 4
Game Walk & Transfer to Maun
Game Walk & Transfer to Maun
Wake up at 5:30 am, have coffee or tea and set off for a three-hour guided walking safari. Arrive back at around 8:30 am for a full breakfast of cereal, eggs, bacon, toast, etc. Depart from camp around 10:00 am for a slow ride back to Maun with a picnic lunch on the way. Arrive back at the camp at 5:00 pm. Sleep at the Old Bridge in Maun.

Day 5
Maun to Moremi Game Reserve
Maun to Moremi Game Reserve
Board the open-sided game viewer and drive to Moremi Game Reserve. You will explore sandy and muddy tracks looking for the abundant game around the fringes of the delta. Lunch will be sandwiches, salad and snacks. Dinners will be prepared over the campfire for you and again, some wine will be included with dinner (no beer). You will camp in one of the non-public access camping areas with bush toilets and showers.

Day 6-7
Moremi to Khwai Concession & Night Drive
Moremi to Khwai Concession & Night Drive
Have a game drive to the Khwai Community Concession. You will be camping at Khwai, close to the river. Before dinner, you will go on a night drive, which is only possible here, outside the national park. Get an insight into the unusual nocturnal wildlife in this area.

Day 8
Khwai to Chobe-Savuti
Khwai to Chobe-Savuti
Entering Chobe National Park from the south, you'll head up either the sand ridge or the marsh track depending on local conditions. In contrast to the woodlands of Moremi, the Savuti area is much more open. For decades a dry sand channel, the Savuti River has started flowing again, making for some interesting driving conditions and attracting plenty of game. Keep your eyes open for cats especially. You'll be camping in the Savuti area.

Day 9
Savuti to Chobe National Park
Savuti to Chobe National Park
Today, you will head north up and down the hills to the Chobe River and its massive elephant population. There are also large numbers of various antelope species, including the striking Sable antelope. You'll be camping on the banks of the Chobe around Ihaha area.

Day 10
Chobe National Park to Kasane
Chobe National Park to Kasane
Stop in the town of Kasane to embark on a private three-hour Chobe River cruise. This is a great opportunity to see hippos and crocodiles, and even elephants swimming across the river. You will then be dropped off at The Old House Guest House to enjoy your last night in this magical country.
