You will be met up on arrival and embark on an Addis city tour including:
The National Museum houses the nation's artistic treasures as well as many of the most precious archaeological finds such as the fossilized remains of early hominids, the most famous of which is "Lucy,"

Built to commemorate Ethiopia's liberation from Italian occupation, the Trinity Cathedral Church is the highest ranking Orthodox cathedral in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.

Time permitting depending on your time of arrival, visit the market place for lunch. Mercato is the largest open-air market in Africa, covering several square miles and employing an estimated 13,000 people in 7,100 business entities.

At the end of the day, proceed to your hotel for check-in. Dinner and Overnight.

An early rise and after a hearty break fast. Check out and depart from Addis Ababa for a full day’s drive to Arba Minch on the way you may have time to visit one of the following archeological sites of interest;

Tiya (Ancient stele field and UNESCO world heritage site), Adadi Mariyam (rock hewn church similar to those in Lalibela or Melka Kunture (pre-historic tool making site.

Proceed and check in your host property, evening at leisure.

Highlights of Arba Minch and boat trip on lake Chamo

In the morning after breakfast, proceed driving to Dorze which is set in the highlands above Arba Minch. The Dorze people are known for their tall beehive-like houses and their fine cotton weaving. You will visit the village and learn about the daily lives of these industrious people.

If today falls on a market day (in Dorze village on Monday and Thursday and in nearby Chencha on Tuesday and Saturday), that will be visited.
In the afternoon, take a scenic boat trip on Lake Chamo. Located in the main Ethiopian Rift, Lake Chamo is home to abundant wildlife among which are: hippo, monitor lizard, monkey, crocodile, vast bird species and visit the “crocodile market”.

Later return to the hotel for meals and overnight.

After a refreshing breakfast, start off your journey to Jinka by driving through Konso, a town located in South western Ethiopia. Enjoy the scenery as you drive by the Sagan river.
Continue with the drive to Jinka with a stop at Tsemay and Bena villages. If today falls on a market day (Thusrday) you will visit the spectacular key after market. Have a feel of the culture here as you mingle with the locals; this is where different Omo valley ethnic group meet in harmony.
Eventually proceed with your drive to Jinka, check in your host property. Evening at leisure.

Early rise and breakfast, check out and drive through the Mago National Park to a local village of the Mursi tribe. The Mursi are known for their lower lip and earlobe plates.

In the afternoon depart for Turmi via Dimeka and Key Afar. Tuesdays and Saturdays are market days in Dimeka, which is one of the most colorful markets in the area and is visited by many tribes, including Hamer, Benna and Karo. Experience their way of life and afterwards, continue to Turmi.

Check in at your lodge, enjoy the rest of the evening at leisure.

Day 6

Visit to the Karo village of Korcho

Early morning depart from Turmi to the village of Kangatan. Here you will cross the Omo River and take a short walk through the local fields to visit a village of the Nyangatom tribe.

After the visit, return across the river and proceed to the Karo village of Korcho, with a stunning location looking over the Omo River. The Karo people, while the smallest tribes of the Omo valley in number are also known to be the most decorated. Afterwards, return to Turmi (Monday is market day) for a visit to a local Hamer village. Time permitting, you will visit jumping of the Bulls traditional Hamer or coming-of-age ceremony.

Return to your host property for the evening.

Visit to popular markets and the cultural museum

After breakfast, check out and depart for Arba Minch via Key Afar and Konso. Visit popular markets in the region; either Key Afar (Thursday) where you will see the Benna and Tsemai tribes trading goods or Konso (market days are Mondays and Thursdays). The Konso people are known for their wooden statues, known as wakas, which are erected in honor of dead heroes as well as their innovative agricultural terracing.

Today you will have a brief opportunity to visit a local village and the cultural museum displaying many waka statues. Later proceed drive to Arba Minch for the night

Later proceed to check in at the Emerald resort for the night.

After breakfast, meet your waiting naturalist driver guide and start for Nairobi National Park “The World’s Wildlife Capital.” Wide open grass plains and backdrop of the city scrapers, scattered acacia bush play host to a wide variety of wildlife including the endangered black rhino, lions, leopards, cheetahs, hyenas, buffaloes, giraffes and diverse birdlife with over 400 species recorded.

After lunch, embark on day excursions that cover most of Nairobi’s city tour highlights;
Giraffe centre, home to some of the last remaining endangered species of the Rothschild’s giraffe. You can hand-feed or even kiss one of them from a raised wooden structure, this up close interaction is quite an experience!
Later proceed to the David Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage -one of the few elephant orphanages in Kenya.
Being the former African home of Danish author Karen Blixen famous for her book 'Out of Africa', a visit to the Karen Blixen Museum is also worth rewarding!

On safari to Masai Mara plains

Early rise today with breakfast served at 06h00 and check out. This is definitely worth the effort to avoid the rush hours of traffic in Nairobi and arrive at Wilson Airport in time for your approximately 1hour scenic bush flight from Nairobi to Maasai Mara via the great rift valley. Upon landing, transfer to the waiting safari vehicle and proceed to Mara Serena Safari Lodge. On arrival at the lodge, check in and return back to the restaurant for hot lunch.

Later, join your naturalist driver guide for an evening game drive with an opportunity to spot herds of Zebras, Impalas, Elands, Reedbucks, Black Rhinos, African Elephants, Maasai Giraffes and several species of Gazelles. This vast concentration of game accounts for high predator numbers including Cheetahs, Leopards, Spotted Hyenas, Black-backed jackals, Bat eared foxes, Caracals and some of the highest Lion densities of the world. Another early rise with hot beverages of your choice served beforehand.

Your day will start with a a hot air ballon and safari drive en route the hippo pool in search of the big five with an option of having full breakfast served in the bush. Return to the lodge for lunch and a well-deserved siesta or dip in the swimming pool.

If you are keen on visiting the Maasai Manyattas (homesteads), an entrance fee of US$ 25 per person is payable directly
at the community office.

After dinner, you can walk to an open area and seat by the bonefire “call it Africa’s natural Tv” as you listen to the tales of Africa’s most famous tribe The Maasai people. Watch them sing and also join them to learn their dancing skills as they defy the laws of gravity. This is an hour + activity filled with entertainment. Please don’t forget to carry notebooks to write down basics of the Maasai language and back up your camera batteries to record souvenirs of your journeys.

Intimate Gorilla Tracking experience

After an early morning breakfast your journey into the gorilla sanctuary. There are approximately 900 of these beautiful creatures left in the world. You will arrive before 8am for registration and a briefing about the trek guidelines. The guides will then take you through the bush, pushing your way through the undergrowth, and parting thick creepers to track the gorillas. The trek can take from half an hour to 7 hours – a reasonable degree of fitness is required as well as a sturdy pair of walking shoes. These amazing primates are shy but once you are close to the group the guides will ask you to leave behind your bags as no food items should be carried close to the apes. It is an experience you can share through your camera lenses as you watch and photograph these majestic creatures.

After this experience you will return to the lodge for dinner and your overnight stay.

Allow time for delays with border checks and clearance with immigration.

Enroute you will visit the Karisimbi Dian Fossey museum in Musanze town north of Rwanda. This scenic drive back to Kigali International airport is approximately 4hrs and includes coffee and lunch break. Our guest representative will meet you for farewell lunch before proceeding to the airport.
