After a hot breakfast and check-out at your hotel, the journey toward Lake Nakuru National Park starts. The drive will be via the incredible Rift Valley. The drive will take you through the park where you will have lunch. After lunch, enjoy an afternoon game drive through the park.

Lake Nakuru National Park is a small park with over 50% of its area covered by the lake. Located in the Rift Valley, the park hosts various animals including the Rothschild's giraffe, lion, white and black rhino, and leopard. Depending on your luck, you could see all of these animals on your drive! Birdwatchers also consider the park an ornithological paradise with a myriad of greater and lesser flamingoes making this lake their home.

Your meals and overnight stay are at The Cliff, a luxury tented camp, on a full-board basis.

Day 2

Drive from Lake Nakuru National Park to Masai Mara National Reserve

After breakfast at the lodge, we head southwards toward Masai Mara National Reserve where we will arrive in time for lunch. You have time to relax before the afternoon game drive in the reserve.

An exploratory drive around the 1,792 square kilometer game park displays low hills and savannah-type rolling grasslands, a gallery forest on the Mara River, and its tributaries. Get introduced to the park's herbivores like elephant, rhino, buffalo, various antelope, the Maasai giraffe, and Burchell's zebra. The carnivores you will encounter include the black-maned lion, cheetah, and leopard. Also seen are the largest bird, the Maasai ostrich, the secretary bird, the crested crane, and the saddle-billed stork. Crocodiles and hippos share the river.

We return to the lodge by sunset and enjoy our dinner and overnight stay at the luxurious Ashnil Mara Camp on a full-board basis.

The day starts with an optional early-morning balloon safari across the Masai Mara plains. After breakfast at the lodge, prepare for a full day of game drives.

Masai Mara is an extension of the Serengeti ecosystem to the south. The game abounds here! The Masai Mara is famous for its abundance of lions, particularly the superb black-maned male lions. Another reason for being a renowned tourist destination is the annual migration of over 1.5 million wildebeest and other antelope crossing the mighty Mara River. You are also likely to see many elephants here, often in large herds, and, if you are lucky, leopards, cheetahs, and rhinos. All of the Big Five members are permanent residents in the park, and you will surely see the African buffalo. Your dinner and overnight stay are again at the Ashnil Mara Camp on a full-board basis.

You will have an early breakfast and then proceed to the Migori Airstrip. Upon reaching the border, you will finalize the formalities at the immigration department. Take the flight to Seronero in Serengeti. Upon arrival in the park, have an en-route game drive heading to the camp. You will arrive at the camp in time for dinner and to relax at Kubu Kubu Tented Luxury Lodge on a full-board basis.

Today, you will explore Central Serengeti with morning and afternoon game drives. After breakfast, leave your lodge with a packed lunch (or have lunch at the lodge) and have a game drive in the park. Arrive at your lodge in the late afternoon or on your request.

Tanzania's Serengeti offers superb game viewing, even out of the migration period. Vast herds of buffalo, eland, topi, waterbuck, impala, kongoni, and Grant’s gazelle can be seen grazing in the thousands. The Serengeti is famous not only for its migrating wildebeest and herbivores but also for its high concentration of big cats and other predators that these grazers attract. The Serengeti is also home to smaller cats such as the caracal and serval, as well as jackal, fox, mongoose, and genet. Today, you enjoy a half-day game drive in Serengeti, have a picnic or lunch at the lodge, and then depart to the Ngorongoro Crater where you will arrive in the late afternoon.

The crater walls are 2,000 ft high and the crater floor spreads for 102 sq. miles. The crater is a virtual Noah's Ark, inhabited by almost every species of wildlife indigenous to East Africa including the rare black rhino. In fact, the crater has the greatest concentration of wildlife on the planet. It contains a river, several swamps, a soda lake full of flamingoes that, from the top, looks like steam, a forest, and open plains. The large bull elephants that reside here have extremely large tusks due to the rich mineral content of the volcanic soil and its grasses. Lake Manyara covers 127 square miles (329 square kilometers) of Lake Manyara National Park. The lake’s alkaline waters cover approximately 89 square miles (231 square kilometers). It is famous for a good number of baboons and birdlife. It is also home to herbivores such as hippos, impalas, elephants, wildebeests, buffalos, warthogs, and giraffes.
