The guide will meet you at 7:30am. You will depart for Amboseli National Park, with a few stopovers on the way. Arrive in time for an early lunch. Go on an afternoon game drive until 6:30pm. Head back for dinner and your overnight stay at Kimana Amboseli Tented Camp.

The view of the Amboseli plains, with elephants moving below the snow-capped peaks of Mount Kilimanjaro, is one of the most photographed vistas in Africa. A network of swamps and wetlands ensures excellent game viewing all year round.

Day 2

Depart at 7:30am, then head to Lake Nakuru National Park. Drive through the cool Rift Valley environment towards Nakuru. You will arrive at Lake Nakuru National Park in time for an early lunch. Go on an afternoon game drive until 6:30 pm. Head back for dinner and your overnight stay at CityMax Hotel.

Lake Nakuru National Park is a small park with over 50% of its area covered by the lake. Located in the middle of the Rift Valley, it has a wide variety of animals, including the Rothschild giraffes, lions, white and black rhinos, and leopards—depending on your luck, you might see all of them! Birdwatchers also consider the park as an ornithological paradise! A myriad of greater and lesser flamingoes has made this lake their home.

Enjoy breakfast at the camp, and then depart to Masai Mara National Reserve. Upon arrival in the reserve, you will have an en-route game drive heading to the camp for check-in and lunch. Go on an afternoon game drive and return to the camp for dinner and your overnight stay.

Enjoy this 1792km² national reserve with its low hills, savannah-type rolling grasslands, Mara River gallery forests, and tributaries. Get introduced to elephants, rhinos, buffaloes, various antelopes, the Masai giraffes, and the Burchell's zebras. The carnivores include the black-maned lion, cheetah, and leopard. Also seen are the Masai ostrich, the secretary bird, the crested crane, and the saddle-billed stork. Crocodiles and hippos share the river.

Full-Day Game Drive in Masai Mara National Reserve

Go on an optional early morning balloon safari across the Masai Mara plains at US$450 per person. Have breakfast at the camp, then enjoy a full day of morning and afternoon game drives.

Masai Mara is an extension of the Serengeti ecosystem to the south. The game abounds here! The Mara is known for its abundance of lions, particularly the superb black-maned males. This is also where you can view the great migration, where over 1.5 million wildebeest, zebras, and other antelopes cross the mighty Mara River. You are also likely to see lots of elephants, as well as buffaloes, leopards, cheetahs, and rhinos. All of the Big Five are residents here. Get the camera ready, stock up on film/tape, and enjoy yourself! In the late afternoon, we will visit a Maasai village.
