Day 2

Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable forest national park

Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable forest national park

Meet your guide and start off early from Entebbe for the journey to the home of the mountain gorillas. Be prepared for a long day in the car. Along the way you will make a stop by the equator for some photos and have lunch in Masaka or Mbarara depending on the time. Continue on to Bwindi Mountain Gorillas through the neck of the impenetrable forest. The journey offers some great views of the impenetrable forest and the virunga mountain ranges. Check in at your lodge and prepare for the great encounter tomorrow. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is the home to the forest giants that are cousins to human beings, the gorillas. Have an early breakfast before setting off for your gorilla trekking adventure with a specialized guide. Besides the gorillas this Impenetrable Forest is full of birds, butterflies and plant species plus forest hog, forest elephants, statungas and duikers. Enjoy the walk through the forest and spend one hour around the gorillas. After the gorilla trek your guide picks you and depending on the time you are back from trekking you drive retire the day at Lake Bunyonyi mostly known as The Switzerland of Africa due to her endless beauty. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

With a lazy breakfast, we shall have a guided nature walk at the Entebbe botanical gardens. The area is very rich in bird species, lots of plant species and overlooking lake Victoria. We shall depart back to the lodge to get ready for the air transfer to Kilimanjaro / Arusha where your guide will pick you and proceed to Karatu on the way the famous Ngorongoro conservacy. Check in at the lodge and relax with a hot dinner.

The safari proceeds with Lake Manyara National Park game drive tour, one of the most beautiful Tanzanian Parks with the most different environments in relatively small area. The Lake Manyara National Park is one of the Tanzanian parks with the highest biodiversity. In an area of only 330 kilometers (of which 230 kilometers are occupied by the lake), there are five different ecosystems. The park is inhabited by over 380 types of birds and a big number of animal species, including elephants, buffalos, zebras, giraffes, leopards, lions, baboons, hippos, antelopes, warthogs, and so many others. Today we enter the Serengeti National Park from the less visited western gate, and you will marvel at the multitude of animal and bird life while journeying through this acacia-spotted savannah. Game sightings abound. We arrive at the in time to enjoy a respite from the dirt roads and heat of the day and enjoy a hearty lunch. Later on in the afternoon, as the animal kingdom comes alive, continue your search for the “Big 5″ – lion, leopard, buffalo, elephant and rhino – while taking in the vastness of the Serengeti plains heading for the lodge as the sun sets on this magnificent animal kingdom. In the afternoon we descend to the crater floor where you will be amazed by the sheer number and diversity of animals and birdlife.
